Subject: Temple and Family History Leadership Instruction with

Elder David A. Bednar and Elder Gerrit W. Gong

As part of RootsTech 2023, Elder David A. Bednar and Elder Gerrit W. Gong of
the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will provide instruction to stake and ward
leaders in the annual Temple and Family History Leadership Instruction. They will
be accompanied by Elder Kevin S. Hamilton and Elder Kevin R. Duncan of the
Seventy; President Susan H. Porter, Primary General President; and Sister Kristin
M. Yee, Second Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency. Additional
instruction will be provided by Area Presidencies.
The meeting will be available on the Gospel Library app and online in 11
languages beginning on March 2, 2023.
Those with the callings listed above are invited to view the session together as
councils and in temple and family history coordination meetings (see General
Handbook: Serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 25.2.7,
ChurchofJesusChrist.org). Viewers will be instructed to pause throughout the
session and counsel together on various topics. A discussion guide will be available
