proof of relationship between you and the person you are dependant upon
evidence of the current UK immigration status for the person you are dependant upon (if they are already in the UK)

Additional evidence to provide if you are the partner, child or other dependant relative of someone in the UK with refugee leave
or with humanitarian protection (family reunion)
You should provide any evidence that you have to show that:

you are the family member of someone that has been recognised as a refugee or granted humanitarian protection in the
UK
you formed part of their family unit before they fled their country of origin or former habitual residence to claim asylum
in the UK

If you are unable to submit evidence with an application, you should provide a reasonable alternative. Evidence that may help
your application includes:

marriage certificates or traditional marriage ceremony documents


documents relating to accommodation or joint purchases
DNA evidence offered voluntarily at the applicant's expense from an accredited laboratory as set out in Home Office
DNA policy guidance
birth certificates or adoption orders
family photographs, wedding photographs
communication records (telephone records, emails and letters for the period you have been apart, or social media
messages)
any other evidence indicating the relationship is as claimed

You must provide your documents to our commercial partner. You will be able to upload copies of your documents on our
commercial partner's website, or you can take your documents to your appointment to be scanned and uploaded by our
commercial partner (there may be a charge involved).
If you choose to pay for the assisted scanning service, all documents (originals or copies) need to be A4 size or you may be
charged to make them suitable for scanning.
If we require passports, you must take the originals to your appointment. If you have self-uploaded copies on our commercial
partner's website you must still take your original passports, but will not be charged for scanning.
You can provide any document to support your application, but:

all documents must be in English


translated documents must be certified
any passports provided must be the originals

What to do next
You must book and attend an appointment with our commercial partner. Your biometrics (fingerprints and facial photograph)
will be taken during your appointment unless you are exempt. Applicants under 5 years old at the time of their appointment will
only need a facial photograph taken.

Within 10 days of arrival in the UK you will collect your BRP card from the following location:
Post Office - Chesser, ASDA Walmart, 3 New Market Road, Chesser, EH14 1RJ
