Writing task 2
Writing task 2
Nowadays, many countries all over the world are experiencing an upward trend
of senior citizens, which results in many positive impacts. However, there are
some negative aspects that need to be considered. From my perspective, the
disadvantages of this situation outweigh the advantages.
On the first hand, the increase of elderly can make more profits for themselves.
Firstly, people can live happier when they are in retirement. After working and
studying, they can enjoy their life on their own, such as traveling around the
world or simply spending the rest of their life in the idyllic countryside. In
addition, the elderly population can have more opportunities to pursue their
dreams, which they will have more time to fulfill their dreams that they can not
achieve it when they are still young.
However, I support the view that the increase of seniors can cause many
negative impacts on the community and society. This problem can put pressure
on the medical system. Generally, many health issues tend to arise among the
elderly population, which causes the overload of healthcare services. The other
consequence is that the aging population can affect national economic
development. As increasing life expectancy may lead to discrepancy between
fertility and mortality rate, resulting in labor shortage.. Therefore, the state
budget is affected by the need to allocate funds for pensions and allowances of
senior citizens. Japan, for instance, has one of the highest rates of elderly in the
world and now is facing challenges related to healthcare provision, retirement
and a shortage of young workers.
In conclusion, while there are some upsides exist in this tendency, I believe that
the dark sides outweigh them in the long term.

Some people believe that professionals, such as doctors and engineers, should be
required to work in the country where they did their training. Others believe they
should be free to work in another country if they wish. Discuss both these views
and give your opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your
own knowledge or experience. You should write at least 250 words.
Working in the country where they did their training and lived is easier for their
life. For the first reason, because they can have their family and relatives that
are close to them and can support them whenever they have difficulties in their
career and they do not need to worry about making new relationships with
others that do not have the same culture with them. Pham Nhat Vuong, for
instance, built his career in Vietnam where he was born and had his family as
the huge motivation so it was easier for him to be successful and nowadays, he
is the richest founder in Vietnam and stands at 23rd spot on the list of global
billionaires.
In conclusion, I think that individuals should spend their career in their country
where they have been raised and trained to have a more straightforward life in
place of working for the foreign nations but have more difficulties.

Some people feel that entertainers (e.g. film stars, pop musicians or sports stars)
are paid too much money.
Do you agree or disagree? Which other types of jobs should be highly paid?

own knowledge or experience. You should write at least 250 words.
It has been suggested that people are likely to argue that some public figures
working in the film, pop, and sports industries currently earn a lot of money.
From my perspective, I agree with this statement and I will explain my view and
show job should be paid a higher salary.
There is an argument that entertainers who is relevant to film, pop, and sports
can earn a high salary, however, this can be worth their effort and lead to some
adverse effects on them such as losing their privacy. To become a well-known
entertainer, they must show their individual traits and outstanding capacity to
the general public. Therefore, they must spend most of their time being trained
and practicing and they must accept that they can be stressed by some critical
comments whenever their fans are dissatisfied with them. For example, K-pop
industry in Korea, some people release that before being the idols in one team,
candidates must go through a number of severe training sessions and
elimination rounds.
However, in our society, there are some kinds of people working in knowledge-
based industries that should have high incomes such as doctors as they play
and vital role in our lives. The reason is that to be a doctor, people must study
professionally at universities and colleges and they conventionally spend six or
eight years to finish this course. Sometimes, doctors can be worried about their
patients and spend their time finding curing ways for them. For example, when
Covid-19 went around, many doctors in Vietnam accept to go far away from
their families to support needy people non-stop for a long time. However, they
were being paid too little money, this can not ensure they livelihoods and worth
their effort.
In conclusion, I agree with the view that artists receive excessive money because
this is worth the time and effort they invest. Conversely, I believe that doctors
should be paid much more for their crucial role in our society.

IDEAS
In recent years, it is argued the most crucial criteria to start one’s career or
occupation should be contemplated is earning a significant number of money. In
my opinion, I believe that people should not consider only this factor to choose
their job.
On the one hand, having a high income can ease their concern about their daily
expenses. Nowadays, the number of products increase significantly in their cost
and this can be the hugest difficulty for many residents. Oftentimes people with
decent salary can cover their daily expenses easily better when compared with
those earning less, thus this leading comfortable and pleasant life without
bearing the daily financial burden. For example, those who have well-paid job
will not have to be mortgaged their own property to the bank and struggle to
repay the loan.
However, income-centric career choices often comes with certain repercussions,
including health issues resulting from overwhelming workload some may
encounter while working. The reason is the fact that is a number of highly
remunerated professions often require people to work hard so they often spend
most time working in the office and doing over time at the midnight, this can
result in many problems related to mental health such as depression. In
addition, if their job take them too much time, they do not have enough time to
care about themselves and their family.
In conclusion, high wages is undeniably a significant consideration, it should
not be the sole determining factor when decide a career or job.

We are becoming increasingly dependent on computer-based technology. How do
you think it will change in the future? Is it good for us to rely so much on
computers?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your
own knowledge or experience. You should write at least 250 words.
However, overusing computers sparks off many consequences that users should
make allowances for this. Firstly, excessive computer use can lead to many
physical problems. Many studies in Stanford University have reported that
working at a computer may lead to headache, eye strain. Moreover, overusing
computers affects people's entire mental health. When screen time is more than
the outside time, people can not have enough time to communicate face-to-face.
Therefore, relying to much on computers can cause problems with depression
and anxiety.
In conclusion, I believe that people will probably be more dependent on
computer-based technology. Nevertheless, extremely depending on computers
may lead some drawbacks, that we should consider.
