The Cat and the Fox

One day, a cat was sleeping in a beautiful garden under the hot sun. It was enjoying the warm sun
after months of winter. During tea time, the cat felt hungry. She started looking for food. To its surprise,
there was an apple tree at the end of the garden. The red apples made the cat shout. Her shouts woke a lion
and it made him angry. When she saw the lion, she said, “Please, don’t eat me Mr. Lion. My stomach is
empty. I want to eat some apples to fill my stomach so that my meat will be healthier for you.” The lion
agreed.
While the lion was waiting for the cat, the cat planned to run. She remembered passing by a chilli
farm by a river near the garden. With a little apple in her mouth, she said, “ I need some water to push the
apples into my stomach”. It was already late evening when the cat made its way to the river with the lion.
As they were passing by the chilli farm, the lion ate some chillies and immediately fell sick. The cat saw
what was happening and ran home as fast
as she could.
