Treaty Reinsurance is a long-term relationship between the Reinsured and the

reinsurers and we at Bharat Re take abundant care to identify the right reinsurers for
our cedants and retro-cedants to reinsure both short and long tail businesses.

Bharat Re believes that Reinsurance has evolved in a whole new context thus
rendering reinsurance broking to move from transaction based services to strategic

As per our cedants’ business requirements, we develop structured reinsurance

programs and approach the right Leadership to seek the best lead terms in respect of

reinsurers.

The reinsurance technical accounting and claim team at Bharat Re are very well
experienced and expert in their chosen profession. Every treaty account statement is
thoroughly scrutinized to ensure that the same are as per the agreed reinsurance
treaty terms and sent to reinsurers timely. The remittance of premium with the cedants
also duly followed up to ensure timely settlement of premium to the reinsurers.

In regard to claim process, our claim team will ensure that all pertinent claim
information has been well captured by the cedant and the claim is in accordance with
the treaty terms and conditions. Any queries and/or requirement of supporting claim
documents are raised/sought before hand with the cedant and claim document sent to
reinsurers with all supporting documents to ensure settlement of claims promptly. Our
claim handling team undertake regular visits to the cedants to obtain an update on all
outstanding claims status which assist reinsurers to make just and appropriate
reserves.

Mr. S. Venkatachalam, has joined us as the Managing Director of our

Reinsurance Operations from September 2023. A true inspiration
leader, Mr. Venkatachalam, was the CEO of National Life and
General Insurance Company SAOG (NLG), Oman from 2003 when
the company had humble beginnings and scripted one of the finest
success stories in the industry. Under his able guidance and
leadership, NLG became the leading insurer in the region and leader
in the health and motor insurance insurances. From there, he
transformed the company into a major insurer in the GCC Region
with spread across UAE (branches in Dubai and Abu Dhabi) and
Kuwait. NLG was recognized as the Most Trusted Brand in Oman
2019.

NLG, under his able leadership was also recognized by Forbes Middle East for its contribution to the
growth of Oman. Apart from this Mr. Venkatachalam has won various awards and recognition for his
professional contributions and business achievements. Three times in a row, Mr. Venkatachalam was
conferred the AIWA “Best CEO in Oman Award (amongst all listed companies) and NLG won the ÄIWA
Award for the “Best Performing Company in the Large Cap Segment in Oman for the years 2018, 2019 and

in Tanzania heading their Comoros Islands Branches as National

Sinduja is an experienced communications lead with 12+ years in

financial services with teams in capital markets, investment banking,
and asset management. She holds an MSc. in Management from
London School of Economics and a BE in Computer Science from
Anna University.
Some of her recent roles include Senior Manager at Sharekhan by
BNP Paribas, Communications Lead at Quantum Asset
Management. She also had a successful entrepreneurial stint as
founder of 5 A Day Prep, a CFA exam prep provider. She is proficient

Before joining Bharat Re Global Ltd, Seetharaman was
Director for Marine and Speciality class of business at MNK Re
Group and developing various lines of general insurance
business for the group. Prior to that, Seetharaman was
Underwriting Manager at Munich Re Syndicate M.E. Ltd.
(Syndicate 0457), developing and producing Marine and other
Specialty lines of business, specialising in Marine Cargo and
Specie classes. He was involved in identifying and capturing
opportunities for strategic partnerships. Seetharaman has
brought with him to Bharat Re Global 34 years of industry
experience, working with MNK Re, Munich Re Syndicate M.E
Ltd., Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance (AMERT), and National
Insurance Company - Indian PSU.
Seetharaman holds a Fellowship from the Insurance Institute of India. He is also a Certified Fraud
