Yemen - Responsible for implementing all protection activities in the
respective governorates.
- Oversight of all Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS) centres in the
respective governorates.
- Ensure protection and inclusion mainstreaming across all CARE
projects and programs, including FSL (Food Security and
Livelihoods), WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene),
Health/Nutrition, Development, and Education.
- Serve as the project officer for the CBPN (Community Based
Protection Network) in the respective governorates.
- Plan and implement protection, inclusion, and GBV (Gender-Based
Violence) interventions in line with the project proposal and
contract, following a phased and prioritized approach.
- Conduct training on protection, inclusion, and gender-related issues
for staff and project partners as needed.
- Contribute to capacity building of local partner organizations and
their staff on protection, inclusion, and gender-related issues.
- Represent CARE at coordination meetings, workshops, and clusters
related to protection and GBV in the respective governorates.
- Monitor the quality of protection interventions and adherence to
relevant standards throughout all phases of the project cycle,
including by project partners.
- Coordinate with administration and logistics teams to organize
materials and support required for all activities.
- Report on all project activities and related developments.
- Manage the protection budget, ensuring adherence to approved
budgets and monitoring activity vs. expenditure to maintain
appropriate burn rates.
- Initiate and follow-up on financial requests in accordance with
approved budgets.
- Establish appropriate supervisory and monitoring tools for
protection and GBV interventions within CARE and among project
partners.
- Monitor the implementation of protection, inclusion, and GBV
interventions by CARE and project partners.
- Support the design of an evaluation framework for protection and
GBV activities.
- Conduct all activities in close coordination with consortium
members and other agencies, both governmental and non-
governmental.

- Conduct field visits and meetings to ensure project activities are
implemented according to internal quality and technical standards,
proposing adjustments or improvements if necessary.
- Adapt project documentation to align with global technical norms and
standards.
- Contribute to the regular reporting of technical activities, including
data collection and analysis, in collaboration with the project team
and MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning)
team.
- Assist in relevant monitoring and evaluation processes under the
supervision of the technical specialist.
- Contribute to internal and external donor reporting, including
intermediary and final reports.
- Coordinate and collaborate with technical partners of the project.
- Establish links with community-based organizations, associations of
people with disabilities, focal points, and other national and
international organizations to enhance information about available
services and maintain partnerships.

external organizations and the community, in collaboration with the
Project Manager, Technical Specialist, or Technical Officer Country
as appropriate.
