About GDGISMUN
GDGISMUN is an organisation which has
been conducting Model UN conferences for
the past 3 years. It has always been our
endeavour to provide our delegates with a
holistic experience and impart the skill of
negotiation among young minds. We began in
2020 with just over 100 participants from 10
different schools and have managed to grow
over 450 participants from more than 70
schools pan India and the Middle East. This
year with much zeal and ardour we present
G.D. Goenka International School Model
United Nations 4.0 to delegates all over India.
Consistently, we pledge to provide a
spectacular experience to all of you. We
would be honoured to have you as
participants of GDGISMUN 2023.

Global Warming

The G20 committee is a prestigious Model


United Nations (MUN) committee that
simulates the annual meeting of the Group
of Twenty (G20), an international forum
comprising the world's major economies.
With a focus on the economic impact of
global warming, this committee delves into
the complex interplay between
environmental sustainability and economic
growth. Delegates representing different
member countries engage in intense
diplomatic negotiations and policy
discussions to address the pressing issues
related to climate change, its consequences
on economies, and the potential solutions
that promote sustainable development.
UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL (UNSC)

Agenda: The Question of Nuclear


Weapons in North Korea
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC)
is a prestigious committee responsible for
maintaining international peace and security.
With a focus on the pressing issue of nuclear
weapons in North Korea, this committee
seeks to address the growing concerns and
potential threats to global stability. Delegates
representing various nations will engage in
intense diplomatic discussions and
negotiations to formulate effective strategies,
promote disarmament, and prevent further
proliferation of nuclear weapons in the
region. As one of the most influential
committees in the UN, the UNSC plays a

the North Korean nuclear crisis.

SECURITY COMMITTEE(DISEC)
Agenda: Impact of Private Military
Security Contractors on Global Security

DISEC, the Disarmament and International


Security Committee, is a prominent
committee within Model United Nations
(MUN). With a focus on global security and
disarmament, DISEC plays a vital role in
addressing pressing issues faced by the
international community. In this MUN
conference, the committee's agenda centers
around the impact of Private Military
Security Contractors (PMSCs) on global
security. Delegates representing various
nations come together to deliberate and
propose solutions to mitigate the challenges
arising from the involvement of PMSCs in
armed conflicts and post-conflict situations.

ASSEMBLY (UNGA)
Agenda: The Situation in Syria.
Expanding the Membership of the Security
Council
The United Nations General Assembly
(UNGA) is a vital committee within the
United Nations, representing all 193
member states. In this particular session,
the committee will delve into the urgent and
complex situation in Syria, aiming to devise
comprehensive strategies to alleviate the
ongoing crisis. Additionally, the UNGA
will also deliberate on the critical topic of
expanding the membership of the Security
Council. This highly significant issue
addresses the need to reform and enhance
the representation and effectiveness of the
Security Council, ensuring that it
adequately reflects the geopolitical realities
of the 21st century.
ALL INDIA POLITICAL PARTIES
MEET (AIPPM)
Agenda: Discussion on Implementation
of Uniform Civil Code(UCC)

The All India Political Parties Meet


(AIPPM) is a dynamic and influential
committee within the Model United
Nations (MUN) framework. With a
primary focus on Indian politics, the
AIPPM provides a platform for delegates
to engage in comprehensive discussions
and debates on pressing issues. In this
session, the committee's agenda centers
around the Implementation of Uniform
Civil Code (UCC). Delegates will delve
into the complexities surrounding the
UCC, which aims to establish a common
set of laws governing personal matters for
all citizens regardless of their religious
affiliations.
LOK SABHA
Agenda: Reviewing nine years of Modi
Government & Reviewing the Budget of
India
Lok Sabha, an esteemed Model United
Nations (MUN) committee, invites delegates
to engage in a comprehensive analysis of the
last nine years of the Modi Government, with
a specific focus on reviewing the Budget of
India. Delegates will assume the roles of
Members of Parliament, representing diverse
political parties and ideologies, as they delve
into the successes, challenges, and key policy
decisions of the Modi Government. Through
lively debates and strategic negotiations,
delegates will examine the economic, social,
and political implications of the budgetary
decisions, ultimately seeking innovative
solutions and constructive recommendations
for the future trajectory of India's
governance.
IPL AUCTION HOUSE
Agenda: IPL Auction

The IPL Auction House is a vibrant and


dynamic committee within the Model
United Nations (MUN) conference,
simulating the intense atmosphere of the
Indian Premier League (IPL) auctions.
With an agenda centered around the IPL
auctions, delegates will step into the shoes
of team owners and engage in fierce
negotiations and bidding wars for cricket
players from around the world. This
committee will provide an immersive
experience, combining elements of sports,
business, and diplomacy. Delegates will
need to strategically allocate their
budgets, analyze player statistics, and
form alliances to secure the best talent for
their respective teams.
INTERNATIONAL PRESS (IP)
Agenda: Journalism/ Caricature/
Photography/ Meme Council

The International Press committee is a


dynamic and vibrant platform within Model
United Nations (MUN) conferences. With a
focus on journalism, caricature,
photography, and meme creation, this
committee provides a unique opportunity for
delegates to explore the world of media and
communication. Delegates assume the roles
of journalists, photographers, caricaturists,
and meme creators, working diligently to
report, capture, and satirize the proceedings
of the conference. By promoting the values
of free speech, press freedom, and media
ethics, this committee encourages critical
thinking, creativity, and a broader
understanding of the role of media in
shaping global affairs.

All Indian school students from classes 6th to College
1st year are eligible to participate, regardless of their
stream.
