ROBOTRON

(Robotics Championship)
Date: 20th & 21st January 2024
Time: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm
Location: IIT Bombay Campus

Who can participate?

 Those who have participated and secured merit position in any of the Robotics
workshop (Android Robotics, Spy Robotics, Humanoid, Line Follower, Brain
Controlled Robotics, etc.) of Vigyantram Event.
 Participants have to register themselves in team of 3-5 members
 Event is free for all the participants who have secured first, Second & Third
position in merit list, Participants who have secured any other position are
required to pay INR 500 per head.

Team Specification:

 Each team must have maximum of 3-5 members.


 Students from different institution can form a team
 Participants can be from different Class, Batches, Branch, or Year.
 Each team must have a captain. The captain is the person responsible for
communication with referees. The team can replace its captain during the
competition

 1st, 2nd, 3rd Merit holders are required to carry their Merit Certificate for
verification
 Rest other who have paid INR 500 have to bring payment confirmation receipt
(soft/hard copy)

About the competition: There will be overall three rounds in this competition.

Written Exam Path Follower Surprise Arena

Robot Specification:

 The robot should fit inside a box of 30cm*30cm*30cm.

• The robot can be wired, wireless or autonomous up to the maximum weight of 2


kgs.

• The robot should be self-powered with supply not exceeding 12V (on board power
supply) with Current 3 Amp and 2250 MAH max.

• Power supply (only DC) should be on board. Participants cannot draw power from
outside

 The machine must not be made from Lego parts, or any ready-made kit. Such
machine will be disqualified.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

• Team can have maximum number of 3-5 members.

• Only one participant should control the robot.

• Human interference (e.g. touching the robot) during the game is not allowed.

• Decision of the Judges and Event Organizers shall be treated as final and binding on
all and cannot be contested.

• No more AC/DC power supply will be provided at the sight of play.

• Coordinators reserve the right to ask for the explanation of the robot. The
coordinator can change the rules of the game depending on the situation.

 In case of wired robot, the wire should remain slack and lifted throughout the
race. It should not disturb the arena or the participants. If so then the team will be
disqualified.
 Unfair game may lead to disqualification of the team.
 The robot should not damage the field. Damaging/harming the arena may lead to
disqualification.

Round: 1 (Written Exam)

 In this Round there will be multiple choice Questions and Subject


Questions. Participants will have to complete this exam in the
mentioned time in question paper.

Round: 2 (Follow the Track)

Problem Statement

 Design and construct a wired or wireless robot which is capable to follow the
Track, cross hurdles & solve the task in the least time.

Arena Size : 8ft* 10 ft , Road size 350 mm.

Note: This is practice Arena only, Tournament Arena will be different.

Final Scoring: The Team who has secured the maximum marks is the winner of the
competition.
