A PAGE 4 OF 14 1.0 14 12 20 GENERAL Purpose This specification defines the minimum technical requirements for the fabrication, testing, inspection and shipment of UNS N08825 (LC30-2242) welded pipe with filler metal, which provided by VENDOR shall at least comply with the requirements of this specification. The specification is supplement to AP! Spec SLC. This technical specification is for NO8825 (LC30-2242) line pipe material which are served in sour condition. The requirements in NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156-3 shall be carried out. The technical requirements in this specification are supplement to API Spec SLC, and shall be used with API Spec 5LC. Any deviation from this specification must be approved, in writing, by Company. Such ‘written approval must be obtained prior to the commencement of any work which would constitute such a deviation. A PAGE 6 OF 14 4.0 4a 42 43 45 5.0 MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURE General Requirements Any clauses and contents not covered by this specification for pipes shall meet the Tequirements in API Spec 5LC. ‘Sour service designation marking according to NACE MRO175/ISO15156-3 and Annex C of API Spec SLC shall be applied. ‘Any non-conformance of this specification with API Spec SLC shall be implemented as per more stringent regulations. ‘Substantive deviation to this specification and API Spec SLC by Vendor is not allowed, except getting the permission of Company. Except as otherwise agreed between the Vendor and the Company, all inspections and tests required for qualification and pipe acceptance shall be performed at the factory All pipes shall be with one longitudinal weld seam with filler metal ER-NiCrMo3 and formed from a single length having no circumferential weld. All pipes that are not bright annealed must be subjected to final pickling and passivation as per ASTM A380. Material Material: UNS NO8825 (LC30-2242) Heat Treatment The pipe shall be solution annealed Traceability The manufacturer shall establish and follow procedures for maintaining heat andior lot identity until all required heat and/or jot tests are performed and conformance with specification requirements has been shown. Non-metallic inclusions. Non-metallic inclusions with Class A, B, C or D in steel pipe shall not be above Class 1.0 respectively and the total shall not be higher than Class 3.5. The measurement of non- ‘metallic inclusion shall be performed according to ASTM E 45. CHEMICAL COMPOSITION Chemical composition of pipe shall comply with the requirements of Table 5.0-1, as follows. Hardness Test Hardness testing on pipe shall be performed using the Vickers test in accordance with the requirements of ASTM E92, and the individual maximum hardness at any position shall be not higher than 265HV10. The hardness of the HAZ after welding shall not exceed the maximum hardness allowed for the base metal and the hardness of the weld metal shall not exceed the maximum hardness limit of the respective alloy used for the welding consumable. Corrosion Test Pitting Corrosion Resistance Test The pitting corrosion test procedure shall be carried out according to the method A defined in ASTM G48 for each heat number. The test specimens shall be cut such that surfaces representative of the full thickness of the product are exposed. Specimens may only be pickled and passivated prior to testing BASIC DESIGN DOC. NO.: GEN-PPL-SPC-0026 REV. A PAGE 8 OF 14 6.4.2 6.4.3 if this will also be part of the final product manufacturing specification. Test specimen shall be prepared according to ASTM G48. Test solution: ASTM G48 ferric chloride test solution (about 6% FeCls by mass). 1m Test temperature: 2521°C. The acceptance criteria, as follows: No pitting on the test face surface, under visual examination with a magnification of 20x. Weight loss shall be recorded and no more than 4.0g/m2. Intergranular Corrosion Resistance Test Intergranular corrosion test for NO8825 according to ASTM A262 method C shall be performed during production stage, and the average corrosion rate in 5 boiling periods of each 48h shall be less than 0.72mmiyear. Requirements for sensitization of samples shall be as specified in ASTM A262. Intergranular corrosion test for NO8825 according to ASTM A262 method E shall be performed during MPQ stage to assure proper manufacturing procedures, which fequited in API Spec SLC section 8.2. Stress Corrosion Cracking Test Four-point bending test specimen shall be adopted as per ASTM G39 and test be carried out according to NACE TMO177. Test medium shall be under the simulating actual working condition of HS, CO, partial pressure, temperature, gas water condition. Loading the corresponding parent metal shall be 100% AYS, then observing the sample under 10 x microscope after 720 hours. The test shall ensure no SCC surface crack and craze on the tension surface, and satisfy the rules of the standard of NACE TMO177. A PAGE 9 OF 14 72 73 8.0 84 82 83 Hydrostatic Test Hydrostatic test shall be carried out in factory to all pipes before NDT. Each pipe shall be hydrostatic tested according to API Spec 5LC. Pressure shall be held for not less than 10s, during which leakage shall not occurred to the pipe. The water used for hydrostatic test shall contain less than 25ppm chlorides. Records made by automatic hydrostatic recorder shall be available. Non-destructive Test (NDT) Each pipe shall be examined with a non-destructive test. The weld seam shall be tested by radiological method. The specified requirements shall be according to section 11 of API Spec 5LC. ‘Such pipes shall be rejected if the test signal was produced by imperfections that cannot be identified or was produced by cracks or crack-like imperfections. Any repaired pipe by welding shall be not accepted. All bevel face shall carry out liquid penetrant testing, and the pipe bevel face shall be free of laminations and inclusions. The pipe face shall be free of laminations and inclusions. Blind area without inspection is not allowed for each pipe. Vendor shall produce the non-destructive test procedures (automatic and manual) intended to use, including the equipment capabilities, the reference standards for calibration of sensitivity, and the acceptance criteria. These procedures shall be submitted at bid stage and shall be subject to qualification tests prior to production start DIMENSION AND WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS Diameter and Wall Thickness Tolerance The permissible variations in diameter and wall thickness tolerance shall not exceed those prescribed in API Spec SLC. Out-of-roundness For pipe larger than 20° and for a distance of 101.6 mm from the ends of the pipe, the maximum outside diameter shall not be more than 1% larger than specified, and the minimum outside diameter shall not be more than 1 % smaller than specified, measured with a bar gauge, calliper, or other device capable of measuring the actual minimum and maximum diameters. Wall Thickness Tolerance ‘The average wall permissible variations in walll thickness shall be (+10%, -10%) under the nominal wall thickness specified. BASIC DESIGN DOC. NO.: GEN-PPL-SPC-0026 REV. A PAGE 10 OF 14 84 85 87 Length of Supply The length of pipe for straight pipe shall be 11.5m + 0.5m. It is not allowed to adopt circumferential weld to connect pipes. all pipe lengths shall be recorded. St ightness The finished pipe shall be reasonably straight and free of bends or kinks. All pipes shall be randomly checked for straight line shall not exceed 0.2% the length Pipe Ends The end face of pipe shall be bevelled for welding. To measure as the benchmark of vertical line of axis of steel pipes, for the equal wall thickness welding steel joint, the angle of the bevel shall be 30°. The width of root face is 1.6mm + 0.8mm. When inner surface is fabricating or bumishing, the angle of the taper measured from the longitudinal axis shall be no more than 7° Delivered Weight Pipes shall be delivered according to theoretical weight, and the deviation between practical weight and theoretical weight must be controlled within (+10%, -3.5%) INSPECTION FREQUENCY Inspection frequency shall comply with the following Table 9.0-1 first, other requirements of inspection frequency shall be in accordance with API Spec SLC. The pickled liquid should be chosen according to ASTM A380. The final solution, exposure time and temperature, etc. for pickling and passivation shall be included in the picking and passivation procedure. The detailed requirements and more information about pickling and passivation shall comply with ASTM A380 and ASTM A967. For final rinsing, only fresh water with a chloride ion concentration of less than 25 ppm shall be used POSITIVE MATERIAL IDENTIFICATION (PMI) PMI shall be conducted on finished pipes on each lot before dispatch. A minimum of 5% of pipes in each heat must be tested PMI should include the weld for pipes welded with addition of filler metal. MANUFACTURING AND SUPERVISION During the period of pipe manufacturing, purchaser is entitled to assign Representative/inspector to the plant for pipe inspection and acceptance, and is entitled to reject pipe which fails to meet requirements. If necessary, Representative/Inspector assigned by purchaser shall perform spot-check for production to guarantee consistency with standard and this agreement. Vendor of pipe shall allow Representativelinspector assigned by purchaser to perform inspection and spot-check to test record and test specimen during the period of pipe ‘manufacturing. BASIC DESIGN DOC. NO.: GEN-PPL-SPC-0026 REV. A PAGE 12 OF 14 13.0 TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE MEASURES The outside surface of pipe is without any coating and lubricating. Pipe end shall be equipped with pipe end protector. Pipe size shall be identified piece by piece according to practical dimension. In addition, the pipe end shall add support to avoid the deformation of pipe end. 14.0 STORAGE AND TRANSPORATION During manufacture, storage, and transportation, the pipe shall not contact with loose carbon steel (e.g. swarf, filing etc.). Nylon sling or rubber-coated hooks/support etc. shall be used for all handing operation. The pipe shall be segregated from other materials during storage and supported during stacking to avoid deformation. Vendor shall be responsible for the protection of pipe during storage. Vendor shall be subject to regulation of pipe storage specified by purchaser during bidding. The pipe packaging and loading for shipment shall be performed according to the procedures of Practices ASTM A700, and all pipes shall not travel as deck cargo. 15.0 DOCUMENTATION The Vendor shall provide the Company at the bid stage with a technical specification giving full details of all the characteristics of the proposed steel, the steel-making process, the billet manufacturing process and the inspection procedures. The Vendor's specification shall include the following minimum information: ™ The manufacturer's latest 5 years supply application shall be supplied for the similar size, it s better to supply the service condition at the same time: Pipe manufacture process: ‘Special treatments for controlling residual elements and segregations; Nominal weight of each heat; Heat treatment process of pipe (including temperature, soaking time and cooling medium, etc.); ‘Aimed chemical analysis, together with minimum and maximum working limits (ladle and check) selected for the order; ™ Visual inspection; m= NDT procedures; = Dimensional inspections with frequencies of execution. Unless otherwise specified by Company, the following information shall also be included in Vendor's specification: BASIC DESIGN DOC. NO.: GEN-PPL-SPC-0026 REV. A PAGE 13 OF 14 Name of pipe manufacturer and Mill; Unit length of pipes offered, if different from that stated; Location of paint stenciling (on inside or outside of pipe); Pipe supply track record as well as histograms of chemical and mechanical test results from previous orders of the same pipe grade; At Vendor's option, any other technical information related to the proposed pipe ‘supply; Description of the proposed pipe end protectors (if any); m= The Vendor's deviations/qualifications to present specifications. Where no deviations are stated in the bid, the potential Vendor shall be considered as fully accepting the requirements of present specification. Vendor shall submit the final documents (2 electronic copies, 10 hard copies) when delivery, including: ™ Production analysis report; Tensile test report; Guide-bend test report; Hardness test report; Pitting corrosion resistance test; Intergranular corrosion resistance test report; SCC test report; NDT report; Factory hydrostatic test report; = Product quality certificate; The report shall be approved and signed by the Purchaser's Representative/Inspector who attended the tests. 16.0 MARKING For pipe up to 16°, paint stencil on the outside surface starting at a point between 450mm and 750mm from the end of the pipe, and in the sequence shown below, except when agreed between the purchaser and the manufacturer some or all of the markings ‘may be placed on the inside surface in a sequence convenient to the manufacturer. For pipe 16" OD and Larger, paint stencil on the inside surface starting at a point no less than 150mm from the end of the pipe in a sequence convenient to the manufacturer, unless othenvise specified by the purchaser. ‘Sequence of Markings shall be in accordance with section 13.3 of API Spec SLC. For all UNS NO8826 line pipes, Material certificate BS EN10204 Type 3.1 shall be provided
