1. Necessary Items

Hemix 3-60 analyzer with left cover open and extra grounding cable connected

USB Stick with last software version loaded on

Conductive tool to made a short between JP1 pins

2. Process

Be sure to have the extra grounding cable installed and connected.

Made a short between JP1 pins, be sure your system will stay on the pins during all the process in a
safety way.
Also check the MFB board and the Core Boards arrows are aligned and the Core Board is properly
plugged on the MFB Board.

Turn on the analyzer and wait until you heard around 10 bips.

It can take around 10 minutes, during the process you will have different screen view, even code
lines may appear.

If the analyzer go on the normal start screen and made a blank, wait until it’s finished and check if
the extra grounding is well connected and if the jumper is still in place.

Don’t hesitate to modify or replace the jumper if the extra grounding is ok.

Once down switch off and on again the analyzer to start again the process.
Once you have heard around 10 bips, wait around 1 minute and switch off the analyzer.

Remove the jumper and the mother card.

Switch on the analyzer and calibrate the screen as requested.

Wait until the software finish starting up and a blank is done. The screen color is now blue, which
is normal as the SFRI software has been deleted.
Install the USB stick with latest software version on the back of the analyzer.

On the analyzer, go to Service/Software Info and click on the Upgrade key.

If the system told the file was not found, check the USB stick to be sure the upgrade file is installed
on the USB key base.

If it still doesn’t work, try with another key.

After software installation is complete and the machine have reboot with SFRI software switch it
off and reinstall the mother card.
