Background/Description:
It has come to our attention that there have been several incidents of over-speed reported
on our X1.3 product range from CPGI.
In addition, there were several other repeated complaints on the performance of the X1.3
powered generators that have affected customer confidence on this product. The issues
affecting the performance of the product are:
z Over-Speed
z Oil Thru Breather
z Belt Tensioner
z Vibration
z Cambox Oil Breather
z Sump Plug
For the above issues, we have authorized a campaign that needs to be followed to resolve
the identified issues.
Corrective Actions:
All distributors will be required to provide regional factory service groups, by email and ITS,
an updated version of the affected list of generator sets every two weeks, along with
respective warranty claims into ROW System (please enter the authorized
Campaign into the Authorization No. box 1.1.14 on the ROW Form) to aid in the
tracking and effectiveness of this campaign.

Details of the rework to be carried out including Parts list and SRT are contained in the
published Service Bulletin on QSOL (Document number CPGK-S-00000126-0).
The SRT published in this bulletin is for guidance only. The actual SRT per unit is 4.7 hours.
Material Disposition:
All parts removed from the set must be scrapped at site.

All parts required for this campaign will be included in the kits which can be ordered directly
from your local PDC.
There are 3 kits types, please ensure your order the kit appropriate for the generator set
units you have.
ROW Warranty claims to be submitted on completion of work for labour and travel costs.
Any additional costs (after prior approval from regional warranty heads) must be supported
with copy invoices. Documents with full and detailed explanation, along with copy of
invoices, must accompany claim.
