A CALL TO CELEBRATE S.J.C.C.C`s SILVER JUBILEE.

Warm greetings and a Happy New Year 2024 to each and every one of you. It is with great joy
that we share these heartfelt words as we usher in the new year.
As we stand at the threshold of 2024, our esteemed Alma Mater, St. Joseph's Catholic
Comprehensive College - Mbengwi, is poised to celebrate a significant milestone - 25 remarkable years in
September 2024. Since its inception on the 6th of September 1999, St. Joseph's has been a nurturing haven
of education, shaping charismatic men and women across diverse fields.
This milestone calls for our collective recognition and jubilation. Twenty-five years is not
merely a passage of time; it signifies a journey rich with memories, growth, and shared experiences. Yet,

our beloved Alma Mater, like many others in the Anglophone region of Cameroon, has borne the weight of
the crisis, transforming our once prestigious "House of God" into remnants of a region affected by upheaval.
Undeterred by these challenges, united by our shared history and deep affection for St. Joseph's, we stand
resolute in our commitment to restore its former glory. With this mission at heart, we are thrilled to announce
the celebration of our Silver Jubilee with the resounding slogan, "Let's Make St. Joe Great Again!"
An ongoing steering committee, supported by letters and validations from the Catholic
Education Secretary and the Archbishop's House of Bamenda, is tirelessly working to ensure the grand
success of this celebration. We implore each one of you to fervently commit to the project of "Making St.
Joe Great Again" as we gear up to commemorate this significant milestone of our prestigious Alma Mater.

To accomplish the outlined projects for the celebration, we seek at least two resourceful
individuals from each batch to join the steering committee. This collaborative effort will facilitate efficient

communication and coordination for the seamless execution of our plans. Kindly provide the names and
contacts of your batch's resource personnel by the end of Sunday 4th February 2024. Furthermore, we plan
to establish a cohesive national executive body for Ex-Students tasked with managing and coordinating
affairs for both Ex-Students and the entire student body. Committees, including Liturgy, Socials, Finance,
and more, will be formed to ensure the smooth organization of this momentous celebration. Detailed
updates will be shared through all our social media handles for efficient and effective information
dissemination.

Mark your calendars, as the tentative date for this once-in-a-lifetime event is the 2nd weekend
of December 2024 at the Bamenda Metropolitan Cathedral. Your active and spontaneous response to this
call is crucial. As we embark on this journey to celebrate St. Joe @ 25, we remain your humble servants.
