ASSIGNMENT (5th-111th
FEBRUARY 2024)
EXPLANTION
In the Four synoptic account of the, we can find the documentation of the very last days of Jesus
specifically; upon his resurrection into his Ascension.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power
is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo,
I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The very First thing to realize, is that Jesus was teaching from the old testament and this is to the
end to make us student.
Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they
which testify of me.
Joh 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another,
and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
Joh 5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is
one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
Joh 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for
he wrote of me.
Joh 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my
words?
All that Jesus taught from the Old Testament scriptures, In other words, Jesus is saying the old
testament testify of him.
Everything that Matthew summarize as all AUTHORITY, is teaching if the old testament
from Genesis to Malachi.
Luk 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to
believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Luk 24:26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to
enter into his glory?
Luk 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the
scriptures the things concerning himself.
When Jesus called them fools and explained that the scriptures testify of him, this means the
conclusion from Genesis to Malachi is message which refers to the person of Jesus.
Mathew 16:
what does he refer to All authority in heaven and earth is given me.
The Truth about the word heaven, is that it is not referring to where people go to when they die.
" I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven "
then he spoke about binding
back to Matthew 5:
verse 34, 35
Throne therefore will be the control room where the Authority is exercise.
Mathew is Jewish, hardly use the kingdom of God but Kingdom of Heaven.
but Luke is writing to the Gentiles, he had to lay aside the figurative expression.
John 1:1
Everything, every where Jesus was and was doing is Heaven.
Heaven is like a control room, while the earth is where the action is being carried out.
one of the ways the writers in the scriptures wrote, was that they did so in Parables.
psalm 78:2
The use of heaven is to show a separation between what God is doing and Men.

The word Disciple s from the Greek word which is MATHETEUO, from another word
MATHANO OR MATHETES which means to make men student or interns.
The very First thing to realize, is that Jesus was teaching from the old testament and this is to the
end to make us student.
Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they

Joh 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another,
and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

Now, in Luk 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while
he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was
yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and
in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
From the above text, we saw the use of the phrase “did not our heart burn within us” which
we can call the old testament phrase.
It can be references as a similar event to what happened in the old testament.
2Ki 6:16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are
more than they that be with them.
2Ki 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see.
And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain
was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
In conclusion, the phrase “opened” is an Old Testament phrase that was used in the book of
kings but now used in the synoptic account of Luke. But in Luke, Jesus opened as the Lord
however in Elijah’s case, he prayed. This means that Jesus message was from the old
testament.
EXPLANATION

The word Power is the Greek word which refers to Authority.
Mathew here, he only gave a summary of what Luke spent time to write, speaking of the 40 days
event.
And most times, when Jesus is teaching or every time Jesus is taking he does so from the Old
Testament.
Jesus after his resurrection, he taught them for 40 days speaking from the writings (which we can
call the old testament), but Luke in his writings spoke elaborately concerning what happened in
the 40 days giving us much information ; Luke 24:16-52.
Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was
yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and
in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
The phrase “these are the words which I spake unto you’ refers or can be read as what He
kept saying to them, when we put together everything this is the message.( and the message
in Matthew 28: 18-20; is to make men disciple)
The word Disciple s from the Greek word which is MATHETEUO, from another word
MATHANO OR MATHETES which means to make men student or interns.
The very First thing to realize, is that Jesus was teaching from the old testament and this is to the
end to make us student.

Joh 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my

All that Jesus taught from the Old Testament scriptures, In other words, Jesus is saying the old

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and
over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth,
and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God
created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and
replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the
fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
The writer of Genesis uses the words dominion, multiply, replenish, and subdue but none of
them replenish the earth which means that this statement has to do with what Jesus said, which is
to Go ye into the world. The work of the above is the work of Christ (which refers to the second
and he last Adam: that is the person of Jesus).
But the word subdue and replenish the earth are restorative terms.
Gen 15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now
toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them:
and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
Gen 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
God called Abraham and asked if he is able to number them, he believed and was accounted for
his righteousness. Hence, Paul in teaching this particular text of the Old Testament in the book of
Galatians
Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are
the children of Abraham.
Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the
heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham,
saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
Gal 3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Paul explaining, Genesis 15 verse 5 would is referring to the Gospel. Jesus in other words is
saying that what God said to Abraham refers to Salvation.
The word Curse is the Hebrew word Quaral, when we see Cursed and blessed, the very first
place we will see it in;
Gen 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art
cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and
dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
Gen 8:8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the
face of the ground;
The word Abaited refers to Cursed which means to stop. The word Curse is from a very Aral
which is to stop or to forbid. It is a word to describe an exile or to be out of.
So, cursed is to be outside the Gospel or what God is doing in the Earth. (same as Adam and Eve
when they were sent outside the Garden)
Gen 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress
it and to keep it.
In the day of Moses, people knew Eden, that's it was a normal place. It’s would have been a
figurative expression.
Moses therefore used land to describe God's promise, that’s God’s sacred spaced in the Earth.
Therefore, if he is cursed, he is not in the Land but blessed will mean he is in the Land (which is
God’s sacred space). The above can also mean the spirit of God, instead of Land and Eden.
The Land is a parable of the working of the spirit of God.
The word Blessed is the Greek word BARAK, which means which is to welcome, to
congratulate, to receive.
The land is about the spirit which means what God gave to Abraham was the promise of the
spirit (Land was a parable of the work of the spirit of God)
Cursed and blessed will have to do with the working of God’s spirit in the Earth.
In conclusion, what Jesus taught in upon his resurrection in Mathew 28:18-20 as the
message of the Gospel, that to make “MEN DISCIPLE” is the same as Genesis 1: 26-28;
that is to replenish and subdue of the earth.
This action is by the working of the spirit of God, which is fulfilled by the preaching of the
Gospel and that’s how the whole earth is blessed (welcome into God’s plan).
4. With Deuteronomy 6:4-6 as your pilot text, write a short
article with the following conclusion: "The love of God is
faith on Jesus Christ"
