AIRCRAFT JACKING
There are three jack points. There are two jack points on the wing
lower side and one jack point on the rear fuselage lower side.

The aircraft partial jacking is done on the jack point of each landing
gear. This permits each wheel to be changed independently.

We recommend that you jack the aircraft in a hangar.

If you lift the aircraft with jacks out of a hangar and in windy
condition, check the maximum wind speed permitted for the aircraft
configuration (Weight x C.G.).

NOTE: It is important to obey that, above 31000 kg, only partial

jacking is permitted.
•The max. fuel asymmetry between wings is 363 kg (800 lb).
•Make sure that the hydraulic extension and the mechanical extension
of the jacks are not more than the value specified on manual ITEM for
the related jack model.
•You can lift the aircraft with fuel tanks in full capacity condition, if the
aircraft jacking envelope is obeyed.
•It is not recommended to lift the aircraft with jacks when persons are
inside, but if necessary, no more than 2 (two) persons can be in the
aircraft. One person must be in the cockpit and the other in the aircraft
rear. They must not walk inside the aircraft during the jacking
procedure.
•Make sure that the aircraft is lifted in the maximum 2.50 m on wings
lower side from the jacking point to the ground.
•Before jack the aircraft out of a hangar and in windy condition, make
sure that the flaps are retracted and the horizontal stabilizers are in 0°
position.

COMPLETE AIRCRAFT JACKING

The aircraft must be on dry concrete level ground before you jack it.
We recommend that you jack the aircraft in a hangar. If it is not, refer
to Figure Maximum wind allowed for Jacking on Structure Points or
GSE 444 (SOFTWARE, CENTER OF GRAVITY CALCULATION) to check
the maximum wind speed permitted for the aircraft configuration
(Weight x C.G.).

SYSTEMS MUST BE OFF DURING MAINTENANCE.
THIS IS BECAUSE SYSTEMS THAT INTERFACE WITH MAU 1, MAU 3
AND SPDA 2 CAN CAUSE THE INTEGRATED PITOT/STATIC/AOA AND
TAT SENSORS TO BECOME HOT. THESE SENSORS OPERATE AT HIGH
TEMPERATURE. IF YOU TOUCH THEM, THEY WILL CAUSE INJURIES TO
YOU.

Open the circuit breakers indicated on the Task (Thermal and

JACKING OR LOWERING PROCEDURES, THE CLEARANCE BETWEEN
THE AIRCRAFT AND PERSONS, WORKSTANDS, AND EQUIPMENT
MIGHT NOT BE SUFFICIENT, AND INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Put the streamer REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT in the jacking adapter GSE

Install the jacking adapter GSE 026 to the wing jack points and to the
rear fuselage jack point.
Do the procedure to make the aircraft safe for maintenance.
Statically ground the aircraft.

NOTE: To correctly install each jacking adapter, put it in the jack point
and turn it clockwise until it touches the surface of the housing.

Install the plumb GSE 039 in the LH main landing gear wheel well.

the jack. We recommend that you lift the aircraft on the jack inside the
hangar. Obey the usual parking conditions. Slowly open the valve of the jack, and lower the aircraft smoothly until
the aircraft weight is on the tire.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE LANDING GEAR SAFETY PINS
ARE INSTALLED. THIS IS TO PREVENT INJURIES TO PERSONS
AND DAMAGE TO MATERIAL.

Make sure that the landing-gear-downlock safety pins are correctly

installed on the nose and main landing gear.
Remove, from the area below the aircraft, all equipment that is not
necessary.

Make sure that the emergency/parking brake is released (brakes off).

Correctly install the wheel chock to the wheels that you will not lift on
the jack.

Install the AXLE JACK below the nose landing gear, or the main landing
gear, as applicable.

If the aircraft is out of the hangar, make sure about the maximum
wind speed allowed for the aircraft configuration, as follows:
•Refer to Figure below or GSE 444 for the maximum wind speed
allowed for partial jacking.

When the actual aircraft weight and CG positions are not available, the
aircraft is complete (no components removed) and with fuel in the
tanks, between 0 and 14000 kg (30864.7lb). Refer to the following
Table for the maximum wind speed allowed.

PARTIAL AIRCRAFT LOWERING

Make sure that the landing-gear-downlock safety pins are correctly
installed on the nose and main landing gears.

Remove, from the area below the aircraft, all equipment that is not
