1 Naming Words

Everything has a name. We call people, things, places and


animals by names.
What are the things around you? Can you name a few?

Read these sentences.

What you need:
• a sheet of paper with columns made for Person, Place,
Animal and Thing
• a timer or a stopwatch
How to play:
Ask your teacher to call out a letter of the alphabet. The class
will get two minutes to write down names of a Person, Place,
Animal or Thing beginning with that letter.
Give yourself 10 marks for each column correctly filled. The
student with the highest score wins.
For example: If the teacher calls out the letter ‘E’, then:
