Batch 6
The Indian Academy of Paediatrics, National Respiratory
Chapter (IAP-NRC) launches the 6th batch of the Advanced
Asthma Course. Starting July 9, 2024, it spans three months
with a hybrid format. Sessions are on Tuesdays and
occasional Fridays, with a mandatory 75% attendance.
Includes pre/post-tests, discussions, and a 2-day hands-on
session at FORTIS HOSPITAL, NEW DELHI on OCTOBER 26-
27, 2024. The course fee is 10,000 INR.

 Message from IAP-National Respiratory Chapter
Indian Academy of Paediatrics , National Respiratory Chapter (IAP-NRC) is actively involved
in enriching and expanding the knowledge and practice of paediatricians in the field of
paediatric respiratory medicine across the country. Asthma is one of the most common
chronic respiratory diseases in children. Paediatricians caring for children with asthma
require comprehensive, updated and advanced knowledge of asthma. Advanced Asthma
Course has become an important platform to impart the same nationwide. IAP-NRC has
already trained more than 500 Pediatricians through this superbly designed course. A precise
diagnosis, management and follow- up vis-à-vis parental education and counselling are
essential components of asthma care. Advanced Asthma Course provides a complete
overview of all areas of asthma care. After completing 5 batches of the Advanced Asthma
course, we are excited to announce the launch of 6th batch.

Hybrid nature to be held for 3 months, and 2 days of Physical Contact Session (PCS)
Launch – 9th JULY 2024
Tuesday sessions (9 pm – 10.30 pm), and add-on sessions (on SOS basis) Fridays (9 pm –
10.30 pm)
75% attendance in LIVE SESSIONS is mandatory – for eligibility for exit exams
Pre-test/post-test in each session
Extensive Discussions – after each session
Each batch – max.100
Course fee –10000 INR
2 days – Summary lectures / Hands-on TRAINING / Exit exam / Certificates / Gold medal
for the best performer (at the end of course)

Hands-on experience: Pulmonary Function tests, Impulse Oscillometry, Skin Prick Tests,
Devices & Drugs , Mock counselling sessions
If missed, can attend the next PCS with an additional fee of INR 1000
