boasts a state-of-the-art manufacturing faculty and a wide range of products, including power
cables has earned a strong reputation for providing reliable and safe cabling solutions,
supporting various sectors such as infrastructure development, telecommunications, and
power distribution in Srilanka and beyond. With focus on quality and technology
advancements, the company continues to be a key contributor to the nation’s growth and
development.

Techniques of manufacture product
 Wire Drawing: These techniques involves pulling the raw copper or aluminum
through a series of dies to reduce the wire’s diameter to the desired size. This ensure
uniformity and precision in the conductors.

 Stranding and Bunching: Multiple wires are twisted together to create the
conductors. The stranding and bunching techniques determine the cable’s flexibility,
strength, and electrical properties.

 Use Extrusion Machines: Extrusion machines are used to insulate and sheath the
cables. This process involves applying insulating and sheathing materials, such as
PVC or XLPE, around the conductors to prevent electrical leakage and provide
protection.

 Use Quality Control techniques: Rigorous testing techniques are used throughout
the manufacturing process to ensure that the cables meet quality and safety standards.
This includes electrical, mechanical, and safety tests.

 Cutting and Spooling: Once the cables are manufactured, they are cut to the desired
lengths and spooled onto reels or drums for transportation and storage.

 Armoring: For cables that require mechanical protection, Kelani cables may employ
