MOCK TEST 4 (2023)
NAME:

It is present perfect progressive/continuous. It is used to refer to/describe actions that started in

the past and may continue in the present and in the future. In this case, the action started in the
past and the mother still tolerates the abusive behaviour (If they can at least explain the use is
fine)
e. Jim was riding to town when he met George, who told him that he had seen some dead animals
on his farm. Explain what verb tenses are being used and what is expressed in each case.

Past continuous tense is used in this case to express interrupted actions in the past.

Past perfect simple tense is used to refer to an action that happened before another action in the past. First
he saw some dead animals and then he told him (only the use is fine anyway)
