Epygen Labs LLC:

Dubai based Epygen Labs LLC is a leading Biopharmaceutical company which has developed an
innovative Enzymatic solution for an efficient conversion of Biomass (e.g., Rice Straw, Wheat Straw,
Bagasse, Vegetable Waste, DDG, Wood, Bamboo, Agricultural and Municipal waste etc.) to Fermentable
sugar that paves the way to generate Fuel Ethanol.

Oval Projects Engineering Pvt Ltd (OPEPL):

Agartala based OPEPL is a diversified business conglomerate offering EPC services primarily for Oil & Gas
industry. From pipelines, tanks and terminals to refineries, gas gathering stations, power plants, OPEPL
can provide high quality & cost-effective facility development solutions across a wide spectrum of
customer needs.

Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL):

NRL is an Indian oil refinery situated in Numaligarh, Assam. Established in 1993, the company is a joint
venture among Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Oil India Ltd, and the Government of
Assam. NRL primarily focuses on the refining and marketing of petroleum products. NRL is known for its
commitment to environmental sustainability and has won several awards for excellence in safety, health,
and environmental management.

Key mission of NRL:

NRL in eastern Assam's Golaghat district has taken steps in setting up a Rs 1,750-crore bio-refinery unit
for producing Bio-ethanol from 5-lakh MT of bamboo per year. The Northeast is rich in bamboo
cultivation and is the leading producer of bamboo in the country with more than 65 percent of the
"Golden grass" towering above the Northeastern lands. NRL has capitalized on this boon of the
Northeast. Fuel from oil will still be the go-to energy source for another 30-40 years. At the same time, o
now people are trying to make this fuel greener. Bio-ethanol is one of the answers. It will be mixed with
petrol to make it more environment- friendly.

The partnership:

NRL has chosen Epygen Labs to develop the infrastructure for delivering their unique & proprietary
enzyme to facilitate this bamboo-based Bio-ethanol production in Assam.

Scope of Work:
OPEPL will be executing this entire project on behalf of Epygen by doing Capital Expenditures and
managing the 1-year Operational Expenditures with its own manpower from India with below the key
scope of work under OPEPL’s purview:
- purchase a land
- setup a warehouse
- keep a proper surveillance 24/7
- appoint an engineer and a manager full time job
- take care of all the liaising with NRL
- fix all the local issues
- purchase vehicle for logistics
- keep fork-lifter for loading and unloading

OPEPL Investment:
Initially, ₹7 Cr will be made by OPEPL for managing the Capex and 1-year Opex of this newly built Enzyme
processing facility.

Business Model:
OPEPL is proposing a 40% profit sharing model for this engagement with Epygen Labs LLC.”
