The K-12 Basic Education Program aims to help students develop the skills, work ethic, and
values necessary for pursuing further education or entering the workforce. Work Immersion is
now an obligatory subject in order to better align the nation’s development goals with the
fundamental education being provided. This subject will give students the following
their skills in their areas of expertise/applied studies to use in real-world job settings.
Work Immersion is thus essential for senior high school graduation in order to fulfill the
aforementioned goals. These concepts stem from the considerable experience of modeling
schools, technical vocational school, partnership focal points, industry partners, and youth
(DepEd) field offices streamline their operations while also forging ties establishing
collaboration to provide students with appropriate work immersion environments and other
associated resources.
Through work immersion, students are exposed to and familiarized with job-related contexts
relevant to their area of expertise, which improves their proficiency. In particular, students can:
(i) gain practical and applicable industrial skills through the Supervisor of industry experts and
workers; (ii) understand and apply the principles and theories taught in school; (iii) improve their

technical knowledge and skills; and (iv) improved their communication skills; and (v) cultivate
student positive work habits, attitudes, and appreciation for their jobs. These prepare student for
Work Immersion is component of the Department of Education (DepEd) senior high school
curriculum in which student will experience the actual job and work standard that are simulated
in all organizations or institutions. Work immersion is a technique in which pupils exhibit the
working process and the progress the knowledge provided in schools, rather than an actual
agreement to work. This is also where the imitation of the original works is generated.

Work immersion is important part of the senior high school curriculum. It can be done in a
variety of ways, depending on the students’ objectives and needs. It promotes the development of
students’ life and professional skills and better prepares them to choose between higher
education and employment. DepEd thinks that by developing partnerships, partner institutions

Doña Juana Elementary School is a public elementary and primary education institution. It is a well-
known educational institution situated in Holy Spirit, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines the pupils
are given educational services by the school. To develop the kid's talents, they conduct a variety of

WEEK 1
Every time is new to me during my first week at Doña Juana Elementary School. Our first week
with an orientation session on the first day we came to learn critical knowledge on how to
evaluate learners and how to act appropriately. On the first day I was nervous because it was the
I was assigned to the registration of the kindergarten to enrollment form for parents to enroll for
their child. My supervisor told me that I was in a different room every morning. I would be
assigned to register for kindergarten and in the afternoon I was teaching kindergarten. I helped
the children with how to write their name and taught them how to color a book after finishing, I

This week many parents enroll on this day. We entertained them and took care of them. For
those who don't know what to put in the form, they ask us. And in the afternoon the adviser told
me to look at the children because they are going to take a class picture. It's a bit far from where

WEEK 2
During our second week of work immersion we continued with our task of registration to give
the enrollment form to the parents who are enrolling their child. When there are no come parents
to enroll because sometimes there are days are no come parents to enroll, When there are no
parents coming, We just help clean the children's rooms when they get home
In the afternoon I told my supervisor what I can do to help, she told me to look at children
because they brush their teeth outside the room. I also taught them how to use the toothbrush step
by step. Before that Ma'am Joan told me I will tell my colleagues who teach in kindergarten that
we will practice dance for their Family day Event, so that we can also teach our students.
On Valentine's Day my students gave me flowers and chocolates and my supervisor told them to
draw a big heart for their parents. Also my two supervisors gave me a gift with a message
I'm so happy, I'm so happy, I didn't expect that they would still have something like that for me,

The lesson I learned was how to be tough and persevere in doing the activities assigned to me by
my teacher. Even if you are tired and your neck is aching, you must still act as if you are fine
I also learned how to communicate with people who are older than me such as teachers, parents,
guards, and also my kindergarten students. I also plan to become a teacher someday because of
this (OJT) on the job training. I also experience how to teach and how to understand them.
I will say that I was truly grateful because I encountered and experienced this because I have
known what will bring my chosen course to me in the near future. And I am looking forward to
that.

valuable insights not only from teachers but also from students, who were important to my

During work immersion the first thing is to respect and have discipline with the teachers because
if you don't have respect you will not be able to complete your task and also to the students.
According to what I learned the most is to have long patient and respect them so while they are
young they can learn how to respect while they still young and with the students I learn to give
them all patience I have and especially I am happy because I experience being a teacher to them
like recording the scores in the activities they do and my experience that I learn how to put
grade/ scores and how to handle them because other students are difficult to obey and also the
other students are difficult to understand so I make them understand what is and I also learned a
lot not only from the teachers but also from the students because they were also the reason why I

What I have learned from the work immersion taught me a lot. I've gained a deeper
understanding of the people and improved my language skills significantly. Adapting to new
environments has made me more resilient, and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
has enhanced my interpersonal skills. Overall, it's been an amazing journey that has broadened
my perspective in my life.

What I learned since I entered the work immersion for 80 hours is to be understanding and
moderate because among the children I teach, there are inevitably some who are nasty and rude,
so I really have to be understanding and moderate with them. I can also say that it is not easy to
teach, so I worked as hard as the adviser teachers there, who, even though they were very tired,
still did the children's activities. Another thing I learned is that I must know how to cooperate so
that other teachers can also help me when they know I am struggling and need it. I also want to
hang out with them so that I can easily become close to them, and I won't be shy if we meet
teachers at school. That's all, and the number one thing is that I should always be happy and
accept the job that is given to me because that's why it was given to me because they have

My experiences with teachers and playful kids were really fun. I learned a lot, not just about
myself, but also how to talk better. My work immersion teacher helped me understand and be
patient with students. I found out that being a teacher is not easy. It needs more hard work and
time. So, I am grateful for all the teachers who helped me improve.

My experience with the people I was with was very happy because we students who did OJT on

most memorable event for me. On that day, all the parents, guardians, and siblings of the
kindergarten students come to visit our school. It was a day filled with excitement and you. We
prepared various activities for the Families to participate in some games, arts and crap to, and
storytelling series-1 was assigned to Desistin sections, organizing the gamers and I had so much
fun interacting with the kids and their families. I remember one particular moment when a shy
child, who usually kept to themselves, eagerly participated In a game with their Family. Seeing
the smiler on their faces as they played together warmed my heart. It made me realize the
importance of Family bonding and now there simple activities con create lasting memories For
both children and their loved ones. Throughout the day. I witnessed numerous heart warming
interactions between the Children and their Families. From parents Cheering on their children
during races to siblings helping each other with art projects. it was evident how these much love
and support surrounded young learners. As the event came to an end, I felt a sense of fulfillment
knowing that I played a port in creating such a memorable experience for everyone involved. It

During my work immersion days, there was this one day that I'll never forget. It was when we

But instead of overreacting, we all came together to figure things out. We practiced it all over
again until we finally got the perfect steps. It was tough, and there were moments when it felt
