Online Interview for Admission into Ph.D. program in

Eligibility: Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Chemistry or related disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks
or CGPA/CPI of 7.0 on a 10-point scale and qualify a national level examination like UGC-JRF/CSIR-JRF/ INSPIRE-
PhD/DBT-JRF/NET-LS/GATE or any other recognized score or funding from external sources to be eligible to attend
the interview. The certificate/fellowship MUST be valid at the time of admission.
National level examination is exempt for those with B.Tech. from IITs or BS-MS from IISERs with CGPA/CPI more
than 8.0 on a 10-point scale. Further, Mathematics in 10+2 as well as in Bachelors (undergraduate) level is mandatory
for the Physical Chemistry, Theoretical and Computational Chemistry applicants but not for candidates interested in
other areas like Organic Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry.

Research Areas:
a). For JRFs and externally funded candidates: Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry,
Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, Biological Chemistry.

b). For GATE/NET-LS candidates: Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical
Chemistry.

● Online Interview link will be shared with the eligible candidates who RSVP at the link above.
● Reservation rules will be as per existing GoI guidelines.
● A relaxation of 5% of marks, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, will be allowed for candidates belonging to
reserved categories.
