GIS Analyst

Job Description

GIS Analyst: To be successful as a geospatial analyst, you should be prepared to work in a


fast-paced and demanding environment with excellent research, collaboration,
communication, and interpersonal skills.

Technical Skills: QGis, ArcGis, ArcMap and Google Earth Pro.


Responsibilities entail:
1. Gathering, analyzing, and storing geospatial data according to project requirements
2. Extracting relevant information from the gathered geospatial data and applying
analytical methods to solve problems related to intelligence.
3. Undertake land suitability assessments for sustainable development initiatives
4. Undertake land cover change detection and track damages that have occurred due
to natural or man-made disasters
5. Report writing and presentation on findings to partners and stakeholders
6. Researching and developing geospatial products for internal use
7. Requirements:
8. A bachelor's degree in geographic information systems or related fields.
9. Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills

GIS Technician
Job Description

GIS Technician: A Civil engineer assisting GIS team on property on-boarding.

Technical Skills: AutoCad and basics of Qgis.


Requirements:
1. Education: Diploma or a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related
engineering field.
2. Experience: Proven working experience in layout designing and planning.
3. Technical skills: Proficiency in site layout design, grading, utility design and
regulatory approvals.
4. Software skills: Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as
AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Basic Knowledge about GIS software like Google earth Pro
would be an added advantage.
5. Soft skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail,
problem-solving, and leadership.
