Project Proposal

Project Summary
Project Title: Eco-Campus Sustainability for everyone’s Safety.
Goal: Our proposal aims to address Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 6 and 15
by implementing a comprehensive project within our university campus.

I. Nature of the Project:
The project will involve a multifaceted approach, including various initiatives related to
water management, sanitation, ecosystem conservation and biodiversity promotion. The
main components include:

• Water Conservation and Management:


Installation of water-efficient fixtures, implementation of rainwater harvesting systems,
and promotion of water-saving practices across campus buildings and facilities.

• Sanitation Improvement:
Upgrading existing sanitation infrastructure, ensuring proper waste disposal
mechanisms, and conducting awareness campaigns on hygiene and sanitation
practices.

• Education and Engagement:


Organizing workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to educate the university
community about the importance of sustainable water management, sanitation, and
biodiversity conservation. Engaging students through research projects and volunteer
opportunities related to environmental sustainability.
II. Involved Individuals and Offices:

• Administration:
Provide logistical support, allocate funds, and facilitate collaboration among different
departments and offices.

• Student Organizations:
Actively participate in project planning and implementation. Mobilize student
volunteers for tree planting, clean-up campaigns, and educational activities.

• Environmental Office or Committee:


Coordinate efforts, monitor progress, and evaluate the impact of the project on
achieving the SDGs. Serve as a focal point for sustainability initiatives within the
university.
III. Manner of Implementation:
The project will be implemented in a phased approach, with each phase focusing on
specific objectives and activities. Implementation process includes:

• Assessment and Planning:


Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current water and sanitation infrastructure
as well as the state of terrestrial ecosystems on campus. Develop a detailed project
plan that outlines specific actions, timelines, and resource requirements.

• Education and Awareness:


Implement educational campaigns and workshops to raise awareness about
sustainable practices and the importance of achieving SDGs 6 and 15. Engage the
university community through interactive events and activities awareness raising
movement.

• Documentation and Reporting:


Maintain detailed records of project activities, costs and outcomes. Prepare periodic
reports for submission to school management agencies and stakeholders, highlighting
achievements and challenges encountered during implementation.
Conclusion:
By taking this integrated approach to a sustainable campus ecosystem, our
university demonstrates its commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals. Through collaboration, innovation and community engagement, we
aim to create a campus environment that not only meets current needs but also preserves
resources for future generations.
