TURN SEQUENCE
Do the following 4 phases on your turn in order.
➀ If there are no 0 cards in the Street then you may discard 1
Street card and draw to the Street a number of cards equal
to the discard’s value. May repeat until Street has a 0 card.
After 1st time through the deck: You can’t repeat action ➀;
you can only do it once; and the discarded card goes on
the bottom of the deck, not on the discard pile.
➁ May play 1 non-zero ACCOUNTANT to your play area.
Swap its value # of cards (or less) between your hand and
play area (can’t swap back the just-played Accountant).
③ May play 1 non-zero BRUTE to your play area. Reduce the
value of a target card on the Street by its value (or less).
④ May take 1 card from the Street into your hand. Take any 0
card free. Take a non-zero by playing a pair of the next
lower value from the same family: play 1 to your play area,
take the other back in hand. You may use one MERCENARY
of any higher value as one of the pair (and take back
either). Refill the Street to 6 cards if it is now empty.
GAME END
The game ends if either of the following happens:
➀ After the deck is exhausted twice, finish the current round
so that each player has had the same number of turns.
➁ Any time both players pass consecutively for their phase ④
the game ends immediately.
OTHER RULES
♦ Cards of value 0 have no special family abilities.
♦ THE FAMILY cards have no ability, but their VPs are higher.
