“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” This is one of the

most valuable lines that everyone learned during the scouting held at Arayat
Central School in San Agustin Sur Arayat Pampanga last February 16, 2024. In
the morning it was an Investiture Ceremony, that was facilitated by our school
Scout leader, Ma’am Arlyn Miranda. Started with an opening prayer,
afterwards, singing Philippine National Anthem.

The program continued with rededication to the Scout Oath and Law, BSP
Promise and Law and the BSP Mission and Vision were led by various scouts
from various schools. With 9 Kab scout, 42 Kid scout and 54 Boy scout who
attend together with their sponsors who witnessed the ceremony.

The afternoon activities started at 1:00, the kab scouts and kid scout started
their art activity, coloring and the group games. It was a meaningful experience
for everyone who participated in the activity. While the boy scout started their
outdoor activity in Bamboo Fire Saw each troop needs to start fire using
bamboo, the first to a fire can now move to the next level which is cooking an
egg and it should be hardboiled egg. For the next activity each troop need to
pass an obstacle course and the first troop who will recite the boy scout oath
will win.

At exactly 5:00, the scouts together with their respective leaders were given
ample time to pitch their tents. The open ground of the campus became the
tent camp of each crew. Each one of the scouts has responsibilities and it was a
nice sight to see everyone doing their job correctly.Evening sets in, therefore,
it is time for one of the most anticipated events in a scout camping- Troop
Presentations (Yell, dance and skit). After few minutes, all troops were having
their practices all around the school. All were preparing for the main event of
the encampment 2024 the presentation of yell and dances.

Here, the scouts should showcase a yell and dance and skit (scout qualities).
When everything was set at exactly 7:00, the presentation is on. The night
became colorful because of the Scouts showed grace and finesse in showcasing
their talents. Participants, teachers and even the judges were in awe because
of the magical moment caused by the singing, dancing and acting skills of the
scouts. The celebration ended at exactly 9:30 pm. First day over. Lights off.

Day 2 – February 17, 2024

Dawn is breaking and roosters are crowing, it was time to rise and celebrate
the last wonderful day in the camp. Scouts started their Zumba, and at exactly
6:00 am everyone had their breakfast and ready for another activity for the
day. All the scouts were gathered in the covered court for another life hacks
for first aid or time of emergency- Improvised Stretcher. With the knowledge
and guidance of our principal, madam Noemi Amor M. Tayag. Everyone was so
excited to learn new things, using 1 blanket and 2 bamboo pole they need to
make an improvised stretcher that can lift and carry one person.

Afterwards each troop with 7 members need to make an improvised stretcher

and need to carry each member from their base to another. The first troop
who can carry all their members will win the game. Before the day 2 ends, the
troop with a higher number of red ribbons will be announced the best troop
and their troop leader.
