In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Alif Lam Mim This is the Book, in which
there is no doubt, a guidance for the righteous, who believe in the Unseen, and establish
prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them. And those who believe in
what has been revealed to you, and what was revealed before you, and in the Hereafter,
they are certain.

Those are on guidance from their Lord, and those are the successful. Indeed, those who
disbelieve, it is the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will
not believe. Allah has sealed over their hearts, and over their ears, and over their eyes is
a veil, and for them is a great punishment.

And among the people are those who say, We believe in Allah and in the Last Day, but
they do not believe. They deceive Allah and those who believe, and they deceive not
except themselves, and they perceive not. In their hearts is a disease, so Allah has
increased them in disease, and for them is a painful punishment because they used to
deny.

And when it is said to them, Do not do corruption in the land, they say, We are only
successful. Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive not. And
when it is said to them, Believe as the people believe, they say, Do we believe as the
fools believe? Unquestionably, it is they who are the fools, but they perceive not.

And when they meet those who believe, they say, We believe. And when they pass to
their devils, they say, We are with you, we are only mocking. Allah mocks them and
extends them in their transgression, blindly.

It is they who have bought error with guidance, so their trade did not profit, and they
were not guided. Their likeness is like the likeness of one who lit a fire, and when it
illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness,
not seeing. Deaf, dumb, blind, so they will not return.

Or like a thunderbolt from the sky, in which are darkness and thunder and lightning.
They put their fingers in their ears of thunder, for fear of death, and Allah encompasses
the disbelievers. Lightning is about to seize their sight.

Whenever it illuminates for them, they walk in it, and when it is dark for them, they
stand. And if Allah had willed, He would have gone with their hearing and their sight.
Indeed, Allah is Able to do all things.

O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may be
righteous. Who made for you the earth a bed, and the sky a building, and sent down
water from the sky, and brought forth therewith fruits as provision for you. So set not up
equals for Allah while you know.

And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down to Our servant, then bring a
surah like it, and call your witnesses besides Allah, if you are truthful. But if you do not
do, and you will not do, then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the
disbelievers. And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds, that
they will have Gardens beneath which rivers flow.

Every time they are provided therewith from the fruit of provision, they say, This is what
we were provided with before, and they are given therewith in equal proportion. And
they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. Indeed,
Allah is not able to present an example of what is some and what is above it.

But as for those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for
those who disbelieve, they say, What does Allah intend by this as an example? He
misleads with it many, and guides with it many. And none misleads with it except the
defiantly disobedient.

Those who break the covenant of Allah after it has been signed, and sever what Allah
has commanded to be joined, and spread corruption in the land, those are the losers.
How can you disbelieve in Allah when you were dead and He gave you life? Then He will
cause you to die, then He will give you life, then to Him you will be returned. It is He who
created for you all that is in the earth, then He turned to the sky and made it into seven
heavens, and He is Knowing of all things.

And when your Lord said to the angels, Indeed, I have placed upon the earth a
successor. They said, Do you place therein one who corrupts therein and spills the blood
while we glorify your praise and sanctify you? He said, Indeed, I know what you do not
know. They said, Glory be to you, we have no knowledge except what you have taught
us.

Indeed, you are the Knowing, the Wise. He said, O Adam, inform them of their names. So
when he informed them of their names, he said, Did I not say to you, Indeed, I know the
unseen of the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal?
And when We said to the angels, Bow down before Adam, they bowed except Iblis, he
refused and was arrogant and was of the disbelievers.

And We said, O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise, and eat thereof as you
please, and do not approach this tree, lest you be of the wrongdoers. So Satan made
them leave it, and he brought them out of what they were in. And We said, Go down,
some of you are enemies of others, and for you on the earth is a residence and
enjoyment for a while.
So Adam received from his Lord words, and He repented to him. Indeed, He is the
Accepter of Repentance, the Merciful. We said, Go down from it all together, and if there
comes to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, there will be no fear
for them, nor will they grieve.

And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs, those are the companions of the Fire, they
will abide therein eternally. O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have
bestowed upon you, and fulfill My covenant, and I will fulfill your covenant, and fear Me.
And believe in what I have sent down, confirming what is with you, and be not the first to
disbelieve in it.

And buy not My signs for a small price, but fear Me. And cover not the truth with
falsehood, and conceal the truth while you know. And establish prayer, and give zakah,
and bow with those who bow.

Do you command people to do good, and forget yourselves while you recite the Book?
Do you not understand? And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed it is
great except for the humble, Those who think that they will meet their Lord and that to
Him they will return. O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed
upon you, and that I have favored you over the worlds. And fear a Day when no soul will
avail another soul at all, nor will intercession be accepted from it, nor will justice be
taken from it, nor will they be helped.

And when We saved you from the people of Pharaoh, they were feeding you an evil
punishment, slaughtering your sons and impoverishing your women. And in that was a
great trial from your Lord. And when We parted the sea for you, and saved you, and
drowned the people of Pharaoh while you were looking.

And when We promised Moses forty nights, then you took the calf after it, while you were
wrongdoers. Then We pardoned you after that, that you might be grateful. And when We
gave Moses the Book and the criterion, that you might be guided.

And when Moses said to his people, O my people, you have wronged yourselves by
taking the calf. So repent to your Creator, and kill yourselves. That is better for you with
your Creator, so He has repented to you.

Indeed, He is the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful. And when you said, O Moses,
we will not believe you until we see Allah openly. So the thunderbolt seized you while
you were looking.

Then We resurrected you after your death, that you might be grateful. And We sent
down to you the clouds, and We sent down to you the rain and the snow. Eat of the good
things that We have provided for you.

And they did not wrong Us, but they were wronging themselves. And when We said,
Enter this town, and eat from it as you please, and enter the gate prostrating, and say,
We will forgive you your sins, and We will increase the doers of good. So those who were
wronged changed a word other than that which was said to them, and We sent down
upon those who were wronged a punishment from the sky because they were
disobedient.

And when Moses asked for a drink for his people, We said, Strike the stone with your
staff. So twelve springs burst forth from it. Each of the people knew what they drank.

Eat and drink from the provision of Allah, and do not transgress in the land, you
corrupters. And when you said, O Moses, we will not be patient with one food, then call
upon your Lord for us, that He may bring forth for us from that which the earth is grown
of its barley and its barley and its wheat and its lentils and its onions. He said, Do you
exchange that which is nearer to us for that which is better? Indeed, they used to
disbelieve in the signs of Allah and kill the prophets unjustly.

That is because they disobeyed and used to transgress. Indeed, those who believe and
those who are Jews and Christians and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the
Last Day and does righteousness, for them is their reward with their Lord, and there is no
fear for them, nor do they grieve. And when We took your covenant and raised the
Mount above you, take what We have given you with strength and remember what is in
it, that you may be righteous.

Then you turned away after that, so if it were not for the grace of Allah upon you and His
mercy, you would have been of the losers. And you have certainly known those who
transgressed among you concerning the Sabbath, and We said to them, Be apes,
despised. So We made it an example for those before it and those after it, and an
admonition for those who fear Allah.

And when Moses said to his people, Indeed, Allah commands you to slaughter a cow.
They said, Are you making fun of us? He said, I seek refuge in Allah from being of the
ignorant. They said, Call upon your Lord for us that He may make clear to us what it is.

He said, He says, It is a cow, neither old nor young, between that. So do what you are
commanded. They said, Call upon your Lord for us that He may make clear to us what it
is.

He said, He says, It is a yellow cow, bright in color, pleasing to the seers. They said, Call
upon your Lord for us that He may make clear to us what it is. Indeed, the cow is similar
to us, and if Allah wills, we will be guided.

He said, He says, It is a cow, neither old nor young, that moves the earth, nor does it
water the field. It is straight, and there is nothing in it. They said, Now you have come
with the truth.
So they slaughtered it, and they were about to do it. And when you slaughtered a soul,
you ran into it, and Allah will bring out that which you used to hide. So We said, Strike
him with some of it.

Thus does Allah give life to the dead, and He shows you His signs, that you may
understand. Then your hearts hardened after that, because they were like stones, or
harder in hardness. And indeed, of the stones is that from which rivers burst forth, and
indeed, of it is that which splits, and from it comes forth water.

And indeed, of it is that which falls down out of fear of Allah, and Allah is not unmindful
of what you do. Do you hope that they will believe you, when a group of them used to
hear the words of Allah, and then distort it after they had understood it, while they
knew? And when they meet those who believe, they say, We believe. And when some of
them leave to others, they say, Do you tell them what Allah has revealed to you, that
they may argue with you concerning it with your Lord? Do you not then understand? Do
they not know that Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare? And among
them are unlettered people, they know not the Book, except in wishful thinking, and they
are only in error.

So woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, then say, This is from Allah,
that they may buy with it a small price. So woe to them for what their hands have
written, and woe to them for what they earn. And they say, The Fire will not touch us
except for a limited number of days.

Say, Have you made a covenant with Allah that Allah will not break His covenant? Or do
you say about Allah that which you do not know? Yes, whoever earns evil and his sin
encompasses it, then those are the companions of the Fire, in it they will abide. And
those who believe and do righteous deeds, those are the companions of Paradise, in it
they will abide. And when We took the covenant of the Children of Israel, that you will
not worship except Allah and to parents a good treatment, and to the relative, and to the
orphan, and to the needy, and say to the people, Good, and establish prayer.

And give zakah, and give zakah. Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you
turned away. And when We took your covenant, that you will not shed your blood, and
that you will not drive yourselves out of your homes, then you decided, while you were
witnessing.

Then you, these, will kill yourselves and drive out a party of you from their homes,
opposing them with sin and aggression. And if they come to you as captives, you will
avoid them, and it is forbidden for you to drive them out. Do you believe in some of the
Scripture and disbelieve in others? So what is the recompense of one who does that
among you except disgrace in the worldly life, and on the Day of Resurrection they will
be returned to the severest punishment.
And Allah is not unmindful of what you do.
