your child . I feel so privileged in mentoring you with your child’s overall development. Today we will be exploring through paints and sensory play along with a sing along. While doing the activities you can sing the 1,2,3,4,5 Once I caught a fish alive... Regards Ms. Tanvi The Learning Tree Please make sure you do all the activities around the corner you have set up at home.
First begin with reading a book “Hooray for
Fish !” After reading the book if you feel the child is ready to do the painting activity please do it. Otherwise you can do it a little later in the day. Painting Activity Bubble Wrap Prints Use bubble wrap to create interesting and colorful prints on paper. Kids using bubble wrap should be supervised by adults.
SUPPLIES NEEDED
● Bubble wrap ● Tempera or poster paint ● Paint brushes or roller brushes ● Scissors ● Paper First draw a simple fish shape.
Next take any 2 bright colors in a dish and
take the bubble wrap and wrap it around your child’s hand. Please make sure you also have the wrap on your hand too. First you model it to your child the dip and dab technique and then let him/her explore. If required you can support initially and later let the child so it. Once the paper has dried you will cut the fish and show it to your child and add it to your ocean set up. I hope your child had fun with the bubble wrapper painting. Today we will explore Ocean Sensory bag. Here’s what you need to make an Ocean Sensory Bag:
● Big ziplock bag
● Hair gel ● Blue food coloring (optional) ● Glitter ● Sea animal toys ● Packing tape Squirt the hair gel into the ziplock bag. Add blue food color, glitter to the bag, along with the animal toys. Seal the ziplock bag, removing as much air as possible. Use the packing tape to secure the seal. You can even line the edges of the ziplock bag with the tape to prevent it from leaking. Now, your ocean sensory bag is ready for play! (you can even use aloe vera gel and can freeze the bag so when the child is playing has a cold sensation.)
