Summary:
Issue: Where can EMC Grab (emcgrab) or EMCReports collect scripts be downloaded from?
EMC Support has requested the script be run on the host having the problem.
Resolution: EMC Grab and EMCReports utilities can be downloaded from the following locations:
From FTP:
For UNIX hosts such as (AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Solaris, Tru64) ftp://ftp.emc.com/pub/emcgrab/Unix/
Search > EMC Grab > Scope by resource, drop down > Support Tools
Note for Windows hosts: Searching for "EMC Reports" seems to work best with no spaces, for example, EMCReports.
See article 9047 "What logs need to be collected for Microsoft Windows-based EMC software?".
Please download the README files as well - when retrieving the Grab utility, to assist with running the collect scripts
correctly.
Recommend NOT running the "-lite" option with the GRAB if possible, to avoid having to potentially asking for additional
information and prologing time to resolution.
If you have a SMAS (SMC/SPA) or Unisphere environment, you should run the latest emcgrab.sh script with the "-smas"
flags. IF you did not install SMAS/Unisphere in its "default" location, will need to manually collect files, per:
emc264303 (KB 14418)
Notes (Employees and Partners): Removed the Videos for Technical Upgradattion and the links will be added once ready.
