 Satyamev Puram, this Chaudhary Omprakash Chaitala, announced Mewat district on October
2, 2004, on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and late Prime
Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. At that time its name was Satyameva Puram.
 Note: When India became independent, Mahatma Gandhi went to Mewat because Muslims
started going to Pakistan. Then Mahatma Gandhi told him that you should be safer in India
than Pakistan and gave the slogan of Satyamev Jayate. Therefore, when it was announced to
become Mewat, it was named Satyameva Puram. It was later changed to Mewat.
 In 2005, the Congress government changed the name of this district to Mewat.
 On 12-12-2016, the BJP government renamed this district as Noah.
 Sheikh Musa's tomb is located in Mewat district.
