• In Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry,

the transition from two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D)
Computer Aided Design (CAD) to BIM is occurring steadily.
• The most advanced design technology available to architects and
construction firms for a long time was Computer-Aided Drawing
(AutoCAD).
• BIM, a more advanced technology, is now taking its place. In Fig. 1, it
is seen that the way from sketch to CAD drafting is too lengthy and
complicated rather than the BIM technology which is more efficient.
BIM technology offers many open BIM software and there are
opportunities to collaborate with these software. Figure 3: questionnaire survey with result
• Nowadays, a large number of AEC educators are considering to

incorporate BIM into their degree programs.
• However, there is no study that critically synthesizes current
knowledge and outcomes on the applicability of BIM program design
methodologies in architecture education to date.

initial level of undergraduate study incorporating it with universities’
Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) course. Figure 6: Screenshot from student project presentations in zoom platform

Aims and Objectives Conclusions

• The purpose of this study was to examine how BIM can be effectively
• to draw the necessity of Building information Modeling (BIM)
integrated with undergraduate architectural Outcome Based
technology for developing BIM skills at undergraduate level in Curriculum while simultaneously emphasizing the significance of
architecture schools of Bangladesh. digital changes that are occurring.
• To incorporate BIM in department of architectures undergraduate
• To integrate Building information Modeling (BIM) technology with level it is necessary to redesign the handout of some courses from
different year which may help students to start their learning of
Outcome Based Curriculum (OBC). Figure 5: Screenshot from student project presentations in zoom platform building information modeling.
