Vincent: Are you stressed? Drained? Tired from everyday’s ganap!?

Vence: We have special guests for today. Topped the music charts for
consecutive months, trending in X for the past few days, and record-
breaking debut!

Vincent: With their talents and visuals, who would have thought that
this group came from a long way to be here with us, showing us what
they’ve got!

Vence: Finally, ang pinakahihintay ng lahat after their successful

debut performance last week. Everyone, let us all welcome...

Both: NO DIRECTION!!!
*applause and SFX…*

Vincent: Grabeng entrance naman ‘yon, boys!

Vence: Superb ang performance in fairness. Greet niyo naman ang ating
audience at viewers.

NO DIRECTION: “Hello, everyone!”

: “Hey, what’s up?”
: “Good evening po.”
: “Hi to all the viewers.”
: “Gandang gabi to all.”

Vincent: Please take a seat muna. Sobra naman kayo sa dance number.

Vence: Hindi mo talaga mapapantayan ang energy. No wonder grabe yung

feedback ng fans sainyo.

Vincent: So pakilala naman kayo isa-isa. Starting with the leader…

George: Hi, I am George. Leader of NO DIRECTION. Nice to meet you all!

Carlos: I’m Carlos. Hope you’re all doing good.

Dhenzel: Hello! Good evening po. I am Dhenzel.

Rey: I am Carlo. Enjoy the rest of the night with us.

Prinze: Hello po, everyone. I am Jei-ar, the baby of the group.

Vincent: So ang topic for tonight ay about the freudian revolution,
I'm sure aware kayo about that, hindi ba?

Prinze: Yes po

Vence: so for the sake of our audience, freudian revol is blah blah

Rey: yes po and it was proposed by Sigmund freud in hus psychoanalytic

theory if I'm not mistaken

Dhenzel: Ay yan ba yung id, ego, and superego?

Vence: May tama ka! at alam niyo bang nagamit yan to treat mental
conditions and understand the decision making behavior of a person

Prinze: Pero diba, hindi po siya widely acceptable noon? So how come
cinoconsider siya na nakakatreat siya ng mental disorders?

Vincent: Yes. before, sobrang daming lumutang na questions about doon.

Carlos: Is it because walang masyadong data about it? Or dahil sa

masyado siyang complex para mapag-aralan?

Prinze: Id, ego, and superego diba ay nag-o-occur naman unconsciously

kaya siguro gano'n.

Vence: And now, we would like to ask you guys if open ba kayo to share
your firsthand experiences concerning the id, ego, and superego. So as
a new boy group, may pressure ba sa inyo? Sa part niyo?

Rey: Meron po. Of course meron, wala pa pong debut no’n but then andon
na talaga yung pressure. But we get used to it naman po. Parang ang
mindset nalang namin for now is i-enjoy lang talaga.

Vincent: Pero gusto ko rin malaman kung paanong leader si George.

Spill some facts and infos naman d’yan.

Prinze: 2 words for our leader. Heart and soul of the group, hands up
sa leadership niya.

Rey: That’s true po. I mean, siya yung kapit lang talaga sa pangarap
no’ng dumating sa point na we’re doubting ourselves na.

Dhenzel: And siya palagi yung nagpapa-realize sa’min na we should do

our best each day because we can’t turn back the time.
Carlos: And we better do things now than regret tomorrow po.

Vence: That’s very good to hear naman. At least you’re all learning
from each other. Magandang foundation yan para sa isang solid boy
group, ano?

George: Yes po but we always have to ponder things before actually

doing it kasi what if we just did it so there’ll be no regrets in not
doing it pero it isn't good pala for the group in the long run diba?

Prinze: Tama. Kumbaga we have to weigh decisions muna as a group and,

of course, with our manager.

Vence: At dahil nabanggit niyo ang inyong manager, sa ating

pagbabalik, we’ll welcome on stage, ang manager ng No Direction!

Vincent: But before that, here’s a short commercial break!

Vence: So ayun na nga, balik na naman tayo sa pagbubusisi ng buhay ng

NO DIRECTION!

Vincent: And now, let us all welcome on stage, ang manager ng No

Direction, Ms. Mikee Macalanda!

*Pupunta sa harap si Mikee; dapat may alotted chair na for her after
the ad break*

Vence: Okay so for your fans to get to know you guys more, we prepared
some questions para sa inyo to understand your perspective and views
on life

Vincent: Grabe naman yung views in life, Vence! Gusto lang namin kayo
tanungin if paano niyo ba nahandle yung mga problema or paano niyo
ihahandle. Handa na ba kayo?

No Direction: “Yes!!”
 : “Ready na Tito Boy”

Vence: Ay maling show ata yan!

Vincent: Okay since ready na ang ating boys, ang ating first question
ay...

*SFX drumrolls or eerie sfx to make the atmo exciting*

Vincent: Since you are all new to this and yet nagtotop na agad kayo
sa charts, anong mga adjustments ang ginawa or ginagawa niyo pa ring
hanggang ngayon from being a normal individual to being an idol?

Carlos: As someone na galing na sa band dati, medyo nasanay na po ako

sa ibang bagay about being an idol but of course, there are still some
adjustments po lalo na when it comes to my actions. Kung tama ba ‘yong
mga ginagawa ko, appropriate ba sa tingin ng mga tao, things like that
po.

Rey: Same kay Carlos, we have to be cautious of our actions not just
as an individual but as a group. Syempre po bitbit namin ang name ng
group at ng company, hindi pwedeng dahil may gusto kaming gawin for
our own satisfaction, gagawin na namin agad without seeking approval
from the other members, and pati na rin sa manager namin.

Prinze: Sa mga adjustments like that ako nahihirapan. As the youngest,

syempre may mga tendencies na uunahin kong gawin mga gusto ko then
kapag nagawa ko na, tsaka ko marerealize na— hala dapat pala tinanong
ko muna sila if pwede ba ‘to

Rey: Matigas lang kasi ulo mo

Vence: Hmm… so more on nasa behavior niyo ang adjustments. Sabagay,

madaling macancel ang mga artists nowadays kaya it’s better to be
careful and cautious talaga

Vincent: True! Lalo na’t bago pa lang ang grupo nila tapos maissue na
agad dahil lang sa isang behavior na okay naman sa iba, pero hindi na
pala okay para karamihan.

Vence: Ang next question naman natin ay (SFX) how do you handle
popularity?

Dhenzel: Ay dyan po as much as possible talaga iwasan na lumaki ang

ulo. Syempre, naeexpose kami sa maraming fans and madaming papuri, we
should not let those compliments get into our heads, na mas
nakakalamang kami, superior kami, like that po.

Mikee: Lagi kong sinasabi sa kanila, kahit na gaanong karaming papuri

ang natatanggap nila, kahit na ilang beses silang magtop sa charts,
makareceive ng awards, makasold out ng concert venues and all those
fame, always stay humble and keep their feet on the ground.

Vence: ‘yan talaga mostly advice sa mga artista eh, stay humble at wag
maging mayabang. Can’t relate yung ibang artista na isang kanta lang
naman ang sumikat akala mo kung sino na

Vincent: Huyy sino ‘yan?

Carlos: Name drop!!

Rey: Sshhh, maissue pa. Chismoso ka, Carlos.

Vence: Huyy sshh lang, Tama ka Carlo! Ay, ano ba yan medyo nakakalito,
may Carlo tapos may Carlos.

Vincent: Ano ba basher ka ba, Vence? Trip nila yan eh sino ba tayo
para humadlang sa pangalan nila.

Vence: Basher agad, teh? Ay speaking of basher, ang next question

natin ay related doon. So boys, how do you handle your bashers?

Rey: Dapat po chill lang. Dont mind them. Wala naman kasing
katotohanan mga sinasabi nila and kilala namin ang isa’t isa at alam
namin ang mga flaws namin. We’re continuously improving ourselves as a
group and as an individual, so yung mga pangbabash nila, instead of
taking them negatively, ginagawa namin yun na motivation para mag-
improve

Dhenzel: At dapat stay polite pa rin kasi hindi naman maganda kung
magpapadala kami sa emotions namin at patulan namin sila lalo na’t may
mga ibang pangbabash na below the belt na talaga.

Mikee: And as much as possible talaga, nililimit din namin ang

screentime ng boys kasi nasa social media madalas ang mga bashers.
Constantly dealing and being exposed sa pangbabash ay not good for our
mental health kaya need din ilayo ‘tong mga ‘to sa social media
madalas para na rin hindi maapektuhan ang kanilang performance
Vence: Ay so you mean may alotted time lang for their social media?
Hindi kaya mahirap yon for them?

Prinze: Mahiraaaap!

Mikee: Mahirap pero tiisin nila kung gusto nilang mag-improve talaga
at mas okay na rin yon para mas makapagbonding sila sa isa’t isa to
strengthen their bond as a group

Vincent: hmm, may point ka Mikee. Next question. For sure inaabangan
‘to ng karamihan.

Vence: Huuuyy! Ano yan?

Vincent: ito na nga, nagkaroon na ba ng instance na nagkagusto kayo sa

iisang babae? Anong ginawa niyo?

(SFX: Cheers ng fans / hiyawan din ng boys ; side eyes ganon!)

Carlos: Ehem ehem parang magandang topic ‘yan ah

Rey: ’O nga, di ba Jei-ar?

Dhenzel: Hmm, George? Gandang tanong ‘no?

Vence: Ay mukhang may something ah, Jei-ar? George?

Vincent: Spill na ‘yan! Ano name ni ate girl? Kilala ba namin? Artist
ba?

Rey: Ehem, manager?

Mikee: Ha? Kilala ko? Sino ba yan?

Vence: Guys spill niyo na kasi. Ano bang kwento niyan?

George: Ganito po kasi, meron ‘yong time na may gusto akong babae and
nalaman ko na gusto rin pala siya ni Jei-ar. Hindi pa po kami nakapag-
debut mo non, actually umabot siya sa point na muntik nang di kami
magdebut dahil doon.

Prinze: Nakakatawa nga eh. Kung titignan ngayon, ang petty lang na
magwawala ‘tong grupo dahil sa isang babae.
Vence: ay ang taray haba ng hair ni ate girl. So anong reaction mo
non, Jei-ar nung nalaman mo na gusto rin pala siya ni George?

Prinze:: Nainis syempre. Kasi ang dami naman iba dyan bakit don pa sa
gusto ko siya magkakagusto? Eh syempre medyo mataas tingin ko kay
George, kuya tingin ko sa kanya tapos talented din, medyo
nakakainsecure. May irrational fear na baka mas piliin siya nung gusto
ko kaysa sa akin.

Vincent: Threatened ka kay George?

Prinze: Uy di naman. Ano, mga slight lang.

Vence: oh so anong nangyari? Anong ginawa niyo?

George: We had a serious talk po that time. Sabi ko nga, i can step
back naman. But then, siguro that time, masyado pa kaming nagpapadala
sa emosyon namin.

Prinze: Sabi ko naman po sa kanya, hindi niya po kailangang gawin.

Nakakatawa lang kasi di rin pala kami yung type niya *laughs*

George: Muntik pang magbangayan para lang do’n, yon pala ka-station
niya lang din ang gusto niya.

Vence: Ohh, sobrang fishy haa.. Bulong mo nga sa’kin yan.

Vincent: Tumigil ka na Vence. Pero Jei-ar at George, okay naman na

kayong dalawa ngayon?

Prinze: Okay na okay po syempre. Honestly, i looked up to Kuya George

po. So, yung past na yon, past na talaga, walang kahit anong sama ng
loob.

George: We later on realized po na it’s just a spur of the moment.

Part lang talaga ng buhay and we can’t do anything about it po but to
go with the flow and decide what’s best for everyone.

Prinze: And that time po na medyo rocky yung pinagdadaanan ng group,

naisip ko po na mas maiging mag-focus nalang muna sa banda.

George: Thankfully naman po, after that, mas naging maganda yung usad
ng training. Mas tumibay at naging matatag po yung samahan.

Vincent: That’s true naman. Pero si girl, nakakausap niyo pa naman?

George: Yes po. Nakaka-usap po namin whenever we had guestings at
magkataong sabay.

Prinze: We remained as friends naman po. No hard feelings na kasi nga

past na. Settled na yung issue na yon.

George: That phase was done na po so we better move on and move

forward. Diba, Jei-ar?

Prinze: *nods*

Vence: Napakaganda nga namang pakinggan yang mga words of wisdom ninyo
na based talaga sa tunay na buhay.

Vincent: For the last question, let's talk about Dhenzel naman. We
heard that you suffered from depression six months ago.

Dhenzel: Hmm,yes. I had depression back then. Sobrang daming ganap na

kasi and it felt like i have too much in my plate so yung stress lang
no'ng una, naglead to depression.

Vence: So how did you cope with it?

Dhenzel: Honestly, if I had no one to talk to that time, hindi ko alam

if papaano ihahadle yun. Good thing is nandyan si manager. She helped
me overcame my depression.

Vincent: Ayy oo nga pala, Mikee diba you graduated BS Psychology in

National University way back 2016?

Mikee: Yes, that's true.kaya rin kapag may problem ang boys, i will
always make sure na I'm all ears to hear their rants and thoughts.
Talking about Dhenzel's depression, inapply ko yung natutunan ko sa
course ko. I reached out to him, pinakinggan ko lahat ng rants niya,
and I checked him from time to time until he recovered.

Vincent: Good thing naman at nakarecover ka Dhenzel. You know, sobrang

hirap niyan.

Vence: Speaking of Psychology pala, Did you know that in the past,
psychology was always classified as under philosophy? But because of
Freudian Revolution, psychology has been considered more of an art
rather than science.
Vincent: Diba we mentioned earlier na Freudian Revolution is
controversial since wala ngang empirical data to support it, how are
you so sure mikee na natulungan mo nga siya to overcome his depression
using Sigmund Freud's theory na napag-aralan mo sa psychology?

Mikee: sa simpleng pakikinig, advices, and reminders, i think, naka-

contribute na yon para maka-recover siya at mag-self reflect.

Rey: To add my two cents about the
it is more of science. Even though
the methods of empirical research,
and proving his theory through his
clinical observations
science and art topic po, I think
he never tested his theories with
he still worked hard in refining
preferred method which is through

Carlos: I agree. At nasabi lang naman na art siya dahil people before
don't consider psychology as part of science. Sabi nila, psychology is
an art since it is subjective.

Vence: and to support yung sinabi ni Dhenzel, Psychology is a

multifaceted field that draws on both scientific research and artistic
expression. At its core, psychology is concerned with understanding
the human mind and behavior, and this requires a range of approaches
and methods that can be both scientific and artistic in nature.

Vincent: In fairness sa mga mindsets ng bawat isa, I’m sure sa mga

nanonood ngayon, whether they are your fans or soon-to-be fans,
sobrang nae-enlighten sila sa mga sinasabi niyo because your
experiences naman ay pwedeng mapagdaanan rin nila.

Vence: At ang galing nila! Boy group sila pero ang dami nilang
knowledge about this topic Prepared! So to wrap things up, let’s have
a one on one talk!

Vincent: Are you guys ready?

1. Describe yourself in one word, Carlos.

Carlos: For me po, enthusiastic. I’m always positive on things. Sabi
nga nila, just enjoy the moment, i-embrace kung ano at sinong andyan,
and to always think positively no matter what the situation is. Storms
don’t last forever, anyway.
2. Be right or be kind, George.
George: Being right po is good, yes. But being kind is better.
Madaling maging tama sa paningin ng tao, pero mas magandang maging
mabuting tao.

3. Love or fame, Dhenzel.

Dhenzel: Love po. Love is the most powerful element in the world. I
believe that fame is temporary po, but love is forever.

4. Clear conscience or clear name, Carlo.

Rey: Clear conscience gives you peace. So i will choose clear
conscience po. Mahirap pong dalhin yung bigat araw-araw, and it will
slowly eat you alive so i’d rather have my conscience clean.

5. Give one moral value you've learned from this group, Jei-ar.
Prinze: As the youngest po, siguro is to be mature enough to handle
situations and your emotions po. Na kahit anong mangyari, kahit sa
anong sitwasyon at pagkakataon po, be rational. Kasi isang maling
galaw o desisyon, maaari pong maraming maaapektuhan. Kasi nakikita ko
rin po sa mga kasama ko na gano’n sila, so i guess, i adopt that
behavior to them. Thank you, bros..
