A Fiction
Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:

a. Define the basic elements of a fiction;


b. Identify the five elements of a fiction; and
c. Write a summary of the short story that includes
the characters, setting, conflict, and resolution.
What ELEMENTo???
Five participants will be randomly selected to
pick one item from the box. Depending on the
chosen element, he/she will provide
explanations or definitions, and the class will
have to guess which element is the right
answer.
What FICTION

Characters
Characters are the people who
are involved in the story.

The protagonist is typically the ‘good guy’ in your


story — the one the reader is rooting for. This main
character is super important and central to your plot.

The antagonist of your story doesn’t have to be a


single person. It can be any character, group, or force
that is at odds with your protagonist.
Setting
Time and place of the story. The
setting of a story gives us
important information such as:

ACTIVITY TIME

Act It Out!
In this activity, the students will be divided into 5 groups and each
group will draw a scenario card from the container. Each group must
then act out the given scenario, and remember that all members must
act even they will just play as a human props.
HOMEWORK
Directions: Write the summary of the chosen literary piece containing the
elements of fiction.
