JEE Main 2024: NTA has released the JEE Main 2024 session 2 result for paper 2 at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
The authority closed the JEE Main 2024 challenge window on May 1, 2024. The provisional JEE Main
2024 answer key for paper 2 has been released on April 30. Candidates can check the JEE Main
B.Arch answer key 2024 for session 2 on the official website. Candidates who appeared for the JEE
Main exam could raise objections to the answer key from April 30 to May 1.

Moreover, students can access their JEE Main question paper with a recorded response sheet using
the JEE login credentials such as application number and date of birth. The JEE Main 2024 session 2
result for paper 1 was declared on April 24 on the official website.

The authority has released the JEE Mains B.Tech final answer key for session 2 on April 22, 2024.
Candidates were able to raise objections against the provisional JEE Main 2024 answer key for paper
1 from April 12 to 14. National Testing Agency conducted the JEE Main exam on April 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, &
12, 2024.

jeemain.nta.ac.in. Candidates can use the JEE Mains answers key to verify their answers and predict
the probable score. NTA has published the provisional JEE Main 2024 B.Arch answer key on April 30.
Candidates could raise objections to the answer key from April 30 to May 1. The authorities released
the provisional JEE Main B.Tech answer key 2024 on April 12. Candidates were allowed to raise
objections to the provisional JEE Main answer key from April 12 to 14.

JEE Main 2024 answer key challenge

The authority has permitted the candidates to challenge the provisional answer key. This is a
chargeable process. Candidates must pay Rs. 200 per question to challenge the provisional answer
key of JEE Main 2024. However, the authority will refund the amount to the applicant if the challenge
is accepted. After verifying the challenge the authority will release the final answer key.

JEE Main 2024 Response Sheet

NTA has released the JEE Main response sheet 2024 on the official website. The response sheet has

marked by the candidates. The candidate can use their response sheets to verify their answers using
the JEE Main answer key. Applicants have to provide login details to download the response sheet.

JEE Main Tie Breaker

In case two or more candidates secure the same marks in the JEE Main exam, a tie-breaking rule is
used. To break the tie, following method will be used

Tie Breaking for JEE Main paper 1

• First preference will be given to Mathematics scores followed by Physics and Chemistry
• Candidates with more positive answers compared to negative answers.
• Candidates older in age
• Application number in ascending order

Tie Breaking for JEE Main paper 2

• First of all Mathematics scores will be considered. If the tie remains then Aptitude and Drawing
scores will be considered.
• If the tie remains then, the preference will be given to the candidates with more positive
responses.
• Further preference will be given to older candidates
• Finally, the application number in ascending order will be given the preference.

The authority will release the JEE Main cut off 2024 along with the result in online mode. The cutoff of
JEE Main is the minimum mark required to qualify the exams. However, the qualifying cutoff and
admission cutoff are different. The admission cutoff will be released by JoSAA. It is the minimum rank

JEE Main 2024 Counselling

JoSAA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 counselling process in online mode. Candidates seeking
admission to the participating institutes have to register at the JoSAA portal and complete the choice-
filling process. JoSAA seat allotment will be done based on the choice filled, the number of seats
available, and the candidate rank. The authority shall conduct the counselling in six rounds along
with two mock rounds.

JEE Main counselling process 2024:

The counselling process of JEE Main comprises the following steps:

• Registration: Aspirants have to log in using the JEE Main roll number and password while JEE
Advanced candidates have to provide the corresponding password to log in. After login, candidates
have to provide the basic details.
• Choice filling: After the completion of registration, candidates have to choose a course and
institute. The choices should be made in the order of preference.
• Choice Locking: After filling in the choice applicants have to lock the choice. Before locking the
choice, candidates have to check their preference because once the choice is locked no changes
can be made. Finally, take the print of the locked choice.

How Many Attempts for JEE Mains?

JEE Main aspirants must be aware of the total number of attempts for JEE Mains. Candidates can
appear in three consecutive years for JEE Main exam 2024. Each year, there will be two sessions.
Hence, there are a total of six attempts for JEE Mains 2024.

75 Percent Criteria for JEE Mains 2024

NTA has re-introduced 75 percent marks eligibility criteria in JEE Mains last year. Now, candidates
willing to get admission at their desired institute require at least 75% in their class 12th as minimum
marks to qualify JEE Mains. Before COVID-19, there was no such condition and no 12th percentage
was required for JEE Mains. Any candidate found ineligible according to 75 percent criteria of JEE
Mains will be declared disqualified and will not be offered admission at institutes including IITs, NITs,
IIITs, and CFTIs.
