4.6.2 WATER CONNECTION

The appliances have one hot water inlet (max 90°C) and two cold water inlets (for soft and hard water).
See paragraph 3.3

The table below allows you to determine the hardness of water according to the most common unit of
measurements .

Classification mmol/dm3 °dH (German de- °fH (French de- English degrees
grees) grees)
Soft 0→1.25 0→7 0→12 0→8.75
Average 1.25→2.5 7→14 12→25 8.75→17.5
Hard 2.5→3.75 14→21 25→37 17.5→26.3
Very hard >3.75 >21 >37 >26.3

Place wall gate valves at a distance that must not exceed the length of the provided pipes.

Attention!
• In the event hot water or soft cold water is not available, provide one
or two T-connections to always supply all the inlets of the appliance.

Attention!
• Do not connect the water inlets with rigid pipes.
• Use the supplied pipes only.
• Rigid pipes can cause problems due to the vibrations generated by the
appliance during normal operation.
• The water supply connections of the appliances are made of plastic.
Follow the procedure below to tighten the hose ring-nut correctly.
{{ Manually tighten the nut until it locks.
{{ Make a quarter turn with a fixed spanner.
• At the end of the assembly operation, make sure that there are no
bottlenecks or crushed parts in the used pipes.
Attention!
• To check the tightening of the ring nuts of the load pipes and of the
filters (where provided), open the water gate valve slowly and check
for the presence of water leaks.
• Should leaks be detected, close the ring nut and check again.

4.6.3 STEAM AND CONDENSATE CONNECTION (ONLY FOR APPLIANCES WITH

STEAM HEATING)

Appliances with steam heating have an M ¾” threaded inlet specific for dry saturated steam.
In the event the appliance is requested with indirect steam heating, there is an M ¾” threaded connection
for the collection/recovery of condensation.
The inlet steam pressure must range between 50Kpa and 600KPa.
Refer to the figures found in the last pages of the manual for the steam inlets and condensate collection.

To obtain optimal performance, pressure should range between 400KPa and 600KPa.

Attention!
• Contact the manufacturer or the area dealer for pressures higher than
the values indicated.
• Cover the provided steam inlet hose and/or the condensate outlet
hose with the teflon sheath supplied in order to prevent the operator
from coming into contact with the steam and condensate hoses, which
are normally very hot and can cause burns.
• Use material capable of resisting both the supply pressure (max
600KPa) and to a temperature of 170°C to install the steam intake
pipes and the condensate recovery. The manufacturer is not liable for
failure to comply with these parameters.
• At the end of the assembly operation, make sure that there are no
bottlenecks in the pipes used.

Provide both the connections (steam and condensate optional outlet) with two gate valves to disconnect
the appliance in the event of maintenance or failure.

Insert the provided F/F ¾“ threaded filter between the steam gate valve and the appliance inlet. This fil-
ter stops the impurities and must be cleaned at least on a monthly basis. In the event the steam distribu-
tion system is new, it is likely that the mechanical filter needs to be cleaned even on a daily basis during
the first days of operation.

If the steam appliance is subject to inspections by local or national bodies (ISPESL for Italy), always have
the relative documentation available in the locations in which the appliance is installed.
4.6.4 DISCHARGE PIPE CONNECTION

The appliances are equipped with a connection for the pipe for the water drained during the washing
process. A 3” elbow-joint and two metal strips are also provided to connect the appliance discharge to the
sewer collection service. Refer to the figure to identify the drain pipe fitting.
Make sure that the distance between the appliance drain connection and the floor drain is not greater than
the supplied elbow-joint length.
Water is drained via a motorised valve, which remains open if no voltage is available.
Some special versions are equipped with a second drain to recover the water of some washing phases.
Follow the special instructions provided with the special version.

Attention!
• The drain duct must always be lower than the appliance outlet and
its diameter must not be lower than that of the supply pipe.
• The drain duct must resist temperatures of 90 °C.
• Place a syphon between the provided pipe and the drain duct.
• Make sure there are no bottlenecks.

4.6.5 ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS

Attention!
• Installation must be carried out according to the manufacturer's
instructions by qualified and certified personnel, in compliance
with Standards in force regarding electric systems both at national
and local level.
• Incorrect installation can cause injury to persons and animals and
damage to objects and the environment in general, for which the
manufacturer is not liable.

Earthing techniques.

There are different types of earth systems on the market, but for all systems, the objectives are identical:
• Limit the potential of the active wires compared to the earth in normal operating mode.
• In the event of an isolation defect, limit the voltages between the masses and the earth.
• Allow the intervention of the protection devices in order to eliminate the earth fault.
• Limit the raising of the potential due to faults resulting from the medium voltage network.
• Limit the raising of the potential when the atmospheric discharge affects the installation or the
power supply network.

Attention!
• The appliance described in this manual is set-up for a TT earth sys-
tem.
• Certification of the system must be made by a qualified technician,
who verifies and certifies its correct design and operation.
• For appliances with steam supply, make sure that the electric con-
nection cable cannot come into contact with the steam supply pipe or
condensate collection/recovery pipe.

There is a clamp on the rear part of the appliance for the connection of the earth conductor, which must be
performed in compliance with the Laws in force.
The manufacturer declines any liability for failure to comply with this accident-prevention standard.
In this respect, identify the symbol provided below.
This clamp must be connected to the same clamp of the other appliances present in the vicinity and must
be then connected to the earth connection via a protective earth circuit alternative to the earth wire sup-

plied with the socket.

Before placing the cable inside the appliance, make sure that the cable bend
is lower than the appliance inlet or clamp to prevent condensation drops on the cable from coming into
contact with the electric connections.

Power the appliance in compliance with its plate data and

with the available distribution system.

Use the cable gland mounted on the rear panel of the appli-
ance to insert the power supply cable and block the cable,
after having connected the cables to the isolating switch sup-
plied with the appliance.
4.7 REMOVAL OF THE TRANSPORT BRACKETS

The drum is blocked with two brackets on the front side and with other two brackets on the rear to prevent
damaging the appliance structure during transport.
To access these brackets, take off the panels as indicated previously and remove the brackets highlighted
with a general danger triangular sticker.

Attention!
• Disassemble the transport bracket before starting the appliance.
• Starting the appliance with the transport bracket still mounted can
damage the appliance and cause injuries to personnel.
• Remove only the transport brackets.
• Do not transport the appliance without the transport brackets.

For transport reasons, the appliance is blocked to prevent any movement of the washing unit.
Once you have removed the transport brackets, reassemble all the previously removed panels.
Store the transport brackets for any future transport of the appliance.

Attention!
• DO NOT start the appliance or adjust the imbalance micro
switch before having removed the brackets.

4.8 ADJUSTING THE IMBALANCE MICRO SWITCH

Once the transport brackets have been removed from the appliance and it has been installed on a levelled
surface, the imbalance micro switch must be adjusted.
This safety device prevents excessive imbalance of the drum-tub unit during not perfectly balanced spin
phases.
Adjust the device as indicated in the figure to guarantee proper operation of the appliance. The elastic rod
that detects any imbalance of the drum-tub unit must be positioned in the centre and lower than the window
that determines the maximum excursion.
Attention!
• To carry out this operation, the drum must be empty and the
appliance must be installed in its definitive position.
• Adjust this device every time the appliance must be moved.
4.9 AIR-BREAK AND WATER CONNECTION OF THE PUMPS FOR DOSING THE
LIQUID DETERGENT

The appliance is equipped with an "Air-Break" device to

prevent non-potable water (it may be polluted with deter-
gent) from returning in the water network due to nega-
tive pressure.
This device (the image shows the one with rectangular
section) has a rear outlet from which steam can exit dur-
ing heating.
This device is also important for a correct reading of the
water levels.

Attention!
• Never cover the outlet under any
circumstances (the steam gener-
ated during heating can create
pressure and affect the measured
water level).
• The steam that exits during the
washing programme may reach
very high temperatures.

All the appliance models are set up for the hydraulic connection of the pumps to dose the liquid detergent
automatically.
There are 13 specific inlets for this function located on the rear part of the appliances, next to the "Air-Break"
device. Three different diameters are available to allow the connection of different sections of pipe that can
be provided with the automatic dosing systems. Thanks to this connection, the chemical products used to
clean and wash the garments are always mixed with water at the tub inlet; therefore, they are never too
concentrated when they come into contact with the fabric in the drum.

Attention!
• Before connecting the intake pipe of the liquid detergent, remove the internal
membrane that plugs the hole by applying light pressure with a tool (screw-
driver, for example).
• Every hole is provided with its membrane to be removed if the hole must be
used for connection.
• All the internal connection set ups merge into the MIXER; therefore, the choice
is indifferent.

5.2 ACTIVATION SCREEN

4 6

7 3 4 8

Upon activation, the GUIDO® electronic control provides the washing programme icons (1) pre-loaded in the
memory.
These icons highlight a circle (2), which represents the porthole of the washing machine, containing the
water and an indicator of the maximum temperature required for that specific programme. Both the water
inside the icon and the temperature indicator change colour according to the value displayed:
• Cold water - light blue;
• Very hot water - red;
• Warm water - intermediate colour between light blue and red.
In addition, the washing programme number (3) is indicated at the bottom of each icon.
The real name of the programme appears at the top left of the display (4). A 33-character text field can be
customised as you wish.
As shown in the figure, only the first programme is selected (5), as it has a blue frame including the icon and
the text description of the programme.
The numbers on the top right (6) indicate how many programme pages are available in the appliance. In the
example, we are on the first of two pages.
The bottom left (7) indicates the profile with which the GUIDO® control has been set, i.e, how GUIDO® in-
teracts with the operator.

5.3 OPERATION OF THE BUTTONS

The GUIDO® control panel is made of scratch-resistant tempered glass. Simply place your finger on the
sensitive areas to interact with the buttons and appliance operation.

Attention!
• Do not touch the display to activate functions or change the operating
parameters;
• Settings and regulations are made on the highlighted area described
below.

GREEN "START" BUTTON It starts the appliance even after a pause has been enabled manually. While
the washing programme is running, it allows you to "fast forward", skipping
over the phases one by one.
Touch the button for at least two seconds to activate fast forward.
RED "STOP" BUTTON It stops the washing programme in progress if you touch the button for more
than 5 seconds. A slight touch (even instantaneous) sets the appliance in
standby. Touch START to disable the standby mode.
In programming mode and/or when displaying the washing param-
eters, it has also the DELETE function. This allows you to exit the
selected menu without applying any changes.
By pressing it when the appliance is not running, it allows you to save as
or delete a washing programme (definitive elimination). See subsequent
chapters for further details.
RIGHT AND LEFT ARROWS They allow you to change the page displayed in any configuration of the ap-
pliance and inside any menu.
During the programming mode and/or when displaying the washing param-
eters, the left arrow also has the DELETE function, which allows you to
exit the selected menu without applying any changes. At the end of the exit
procedure, GUIDO® asks if you want to save the modifications, eliminate the
washing programme or if you want to save it with a name.
Attention, deleting is permanent.
CIRCULAR SELECTOR It allows you to select the washing programme, the functions to be pro-
SWITCH grammed when you are in programming mode, and the single numeric value
when the function has been selected. It "increases" or moves the value to
the right if rotated clockwise or it "decreases" or moves the value to the left
if rotated anticlockwise.
In the SERVICE menu, the different sectors of the circular selector switches
become numerical buttons (as shown in the service menu screen). These
allow you to enter the password required to unlock some functions or im-
portant settings.

"OK" BUTTON This button allows you to confirm the selections made with the circular se-
lector switch.

Attention!
• If the appliance is not running a washing programme, touching the OK
button accesses the display and/or modification of the details of the
washing programme that was selected.
• Use the left arrow or the STOP button to exit.
• The control asks you to save the changes, save the changes as, or elimi-
nate the selection.
• Save = confirm the modifications applied;
• Save as = an additional washing programme is created with the modifi-
cations applied;
• Eliminate = the selected washing programme is definitively eliminated.
• To exit without applying any changes, use the STOP button which, in
this case, functions as CANCEL.
5.4 WASHING PROGRAMME SELECTION AND APPLIANCE START

Attention!
• The washing programme can be selected with the porthole open or
closed.
• Every page provides maximum 8 washing programmes at a time;
• In the event there are more than 8 pre-set washing programmes and
you want to select one that is not shown on the page currently being
displayed, use the right or left arrow to scroll through the available
pages.

Touch the circular selector switch to change the washing programme, from the one on the top left to the
one on the bottom right, cyclically.

Attention!
• In the event there are more than 8 pre-set washing programmes and
you want to select one that is not shown in the page currently being
displayed, use the right or left arrow to scroll through the available
pages.

Once the required programme has been identified, touch the green START symbol with the porthole closed.
The porthole locks (you hear a click) and the selected washing programme starts.

To see the functions currently in progress or to modify some washing parameters, touch OK while the pro-
gramme is active, and scroll through the various items of the display as described above. Depending on
the selected profile (see section 7 of paragraph 5.2), only some or all of the settings will be available and
displayed.

Attention!
• The “Wash&go” profile (see 6.5) does not have access to this display;
• Any modifications applied to the washing programme while it is running
are never saved. They remain valid only for the programme in progress.
• At the end of the programme, all the values are reset.

Repeatedly touch above the left arrow to exit this display: at every touch, GUIDO® returns to the previous
page until displaying the initial page where the washing programme can be selected.

Some icons alternate while the washing programme advances next to the icon (1) that describes the profile
(see the screen example below).

The programme provides for the laundry weighing phase to determine the correct amount of
water, mechanical action and detergent (patented DWS process). This phase is always car-
ried out at the beginning of the programme when the laundry is dry and it involves two short
spin phases.
The weighing phase can be used with any type of laundry.

The programme involves a phase where the water loading has been set and therefore, pre-
wash, wash, rinse, and soak. The flashing icon indicates that the water is about to be drained.
The programme involves a spin phase. The icon does not change regardless of the speed set.
The blinking icon indicates that the appliance is slowing down after the spin phase.

End of the washing programme. Once the safety time has elapsed and the drum is fully stopped,
the drum unlocks (you will hear an audible click). The signals disappear once the operator
opens the porthole.

5.5 WASHING PROGRAMME FAST FORWARD AND IMMEDIATE STOP

To quickly go from one phase to another in the washing programme, touch the green START symbol for at
least 2 seconds. Prolonged touches enable the programme to progress quickly, going from the water loading
phase to the intermediate spin phase, and so on, until the programme is completed. The icons alternate their
position (1) as described above.
To stop the washing programme suddenly, touch the red STOP symbol for at least five seconds. The appli-
ance stops and unlocks the porthole once it has carried out all the safety verification procedures.

Attention!
• Do not open the porthole until the drum is fully stopped;
• In the event GUIDO® detects water in the tub, the porthole cannot be
opened until the level drops below the safety value;
• In the event GUIDO® detects high temperatures inside the drum, the
porthole cannot be opened until the value drops below the safety
value;
• During these standby times, the STOP icon remains active next to the
profile symbol but the porthole is still locked.

Attention!
• The fast forward feature is allowed for all profiles, even in "self-service"
or "coin operation" configuration;
• The quick stop is allowed for all profiles, even in "self-service" or "coin
operation" configuration;
5.6 STANDBY

If a pause needs to be manually inserted during the washing programme, simply touch the red STOP symbol
on the control panel. The drum stops, the heating switches off as well as any water and detergent loading.
Water found in the tub is not drained; this allows the manual execution of the "soak" function.
Touch the green START symbol to restart the washing programme.

Attention!
• The standby phase cannot be enabled during the spin phase;
• A standby phase can be enabled in all the profiles during the execution
of the washing programme;
• The standby phase is not allowed in the "self-service" or "coin opera-
tion" configuration.
6. SIMPLIFIED MANAGEMENT OF THE SERVICE MENU

• GUIDO® does not manage leap years.
7. SIMPLIFIED SETTING OF A WASHING PROGRAMME

All the appliances are set in the factory with a certain number of washing programmes, which meet the most
common work requirements.
Nonetheless, it is possible to
• Create
• Modify
• Delete
Washing programmes via GUIDO® control.

7.1 STRUCTURE OF A WASHING PROGRAMME

Every washing programme consists of two modules, which are carried out in sequence by minimum 1 mod-
ule up to a maximum of 9 modules.
Every module can be defined as:

Soak Generally used to pre-treat (cold mode) laundry and soften the stains that are
difficult to remove.

Pre-wash Generally used to pre-treat (in cold and hot mode) laundry and soften stains
that are difficult to remove, especially those having organic origin.

Wash The actual programme wash phase. Usually, it involves the use of hot water or
water heating.

Rinse Used to remove the detergent used in the previous modules and to impregnate
the fabric with softener during the last rinse.

Spin Usually, every module ends with a spin phase. However, depending on the re-
quirements, it is also possible to program one simple spin.

According to this distinction, the module identification icon changes, as well as the initial definition of the wa-
ter load via the dispenser. For example, we can have two modules programmed in the same way but one is
defined as pre-wash and the other as wash. These will have two different identification icons and, most of all,
the water load via dispenser will allow the passage via tank A for the first one and B+C for the second one.

Attention!
• Each module contains the same programming functions, regardless of
how it was defined;
• If a module is defined as "spin", settings linked to water management
(loading/draining/heating/detergents, etc.) will not be possible.
• Each module can program one spin: therefore, it consists of a part that
manages the water and another part where the water is eliminated via
spin.

7.2 STRUCTURE OF A MODULE

Each MODULE has the same structure; therefore, once a module has been analysed, we can say we have
analysed all the others, regardless of how they are defined.
Each module contains 16 STEPS, which must be programmed to define all the functions and activities of the
washing programme.

The 16 steps of a module are described briefly below:

Set the LOOP start when a certain number of modules should be repeat-
ed; for example, to repeat pre-wash and wash twice in a row.
LOOP start

To repeat one module, for example two identical rinses, set this param-
eter and GUIDO® will carry out the module for the number of times set
Module repetition before starting the following one.

Selection of the module type from those seen in 7.1.

Moreover, it is possible to define the name of the module. The name of
Module type the module does not affect appliance operation. It is only a comment.

This function can be activated only in the first module of the washing
programme. It determines if and how GUIDO® measures the weight of
Weighing the laundry loaded in the drum.

Setting the water level inside the drum when the appliance is running.

Level

It determines how GUIDO® must load water in the drum. Only hot water,
cold water, balancing both, etc.
Water loading

Hysteresis

Sometimes the water heating speed needs to be reduced and therefore,

this parameter must be modified. A value equal to 0°C/min that the
Heating speed function is disabled.

This step defines how the drum must move in terms of speed and right/
pause/left timing. It is the definition of the mechanical action to be ap-

Simply, how long the module lasts. If heating is active, this time starts
being counted from when the set temperature is reached. If heating is
Module duration not active, this time starts from when the water reaches the set level in
the tub.

The appliances can be equipped with one or two drains, with the possibil-
ity to recover the drained water in an external tank. Here you can make
Drain mode this selection. You can also make the appliance not drain.

7.3 STEP DETAILS

Definition of the programming mode of the module steps.

Some modules involve simple selections and have already been extensively described in the previous para-
graphs. Moreover, always read the indications displayed on GUIDO® to program the various functions.

7.3.1 WEIGHING

When this function is activated, GUIDO® determines how many kg of laundry are loaded in
the drum, by running two brief spins without having loaded water.
The weighing function does not damage the garments, as the two brief spins do not gener-
ate mechanical action. This means that the garments do not rub, thus preventing potential
pilling.
Moreover, the duration of the two brief spins does not fold or crush the fabric.
According to the weight detected, GUIDO® determines the following functions automatically
and autonomously:
Water level in the tub;
Mechanical action during washing, i.e. drum speed;
Amount of detergents to be dosed with the automatic dosing units.

Attention!
• In the subsequent steps, program all the values as if all the appliances
were filled with the nominal load. GUIDO® then proportionally reduces
all the values according to the real laundry load inside the drum;
• To start a washing programme with wet laundry, we recommend disa-
bling the weighing function;
• In the event this function is not disabled, the appliance will read a high-
er load than the real one; therefore, it will use the programmed values
as if the appliance were loaded with 100% of the nominal load.
7.3.2 LEVEL

This function defines the water level in the tub for the module being programmed.
Depending on the profiles that are programming the module, the following levels can be set:
Reduced;
Normal;
Abundant;
Defined by the user.
The last selection is reserved to the "professional operator" or higher levels.
The first three selections are related directly to the type of appliance set in the S9 service
menu; therefore, they do not require the insertion of a number of cm of water in the tub but
an intuitive selection between little, normal, or a lot of water.

Attention!
• Program all the values as if the temperature were filled with the nomi-
nal load. GUIDO® then proportionally reduces all the values according
to the real laundry load inside the drum, if the weighing function is ac-
tivated;

7.3.3 WATER LOAD

How water must be loaded in the tub.

You can choose between:
• NO
• Balanced
• Customised value
If setting is left on NO, the appliance will not load water for this module.
By setting Balanced, the hot and cold water inlets will be activated automatically so to reach
the set-point temperature without (or almost without) activating the heating units.
Customised value. The expert laundry operator can manually activate/deactivate all the wa-
ter inlets according to specific requirements.

7.3.4 SOAP LOADING

There are three options that allow you to activate the liquid detergent automatic dosing units:
• Customised Level Loading;
• Reached level loading:
• Simultaneous soap/water loading.
The first option allows you to set how many cm of water in the tub are needed to activate the
dosing units. GUIDO® provides a level and the expert laundry operator can modify it.
The second option involves the activation of the dosing units only from when the first set-point
of the water level in the tub is reached.
The last option allows you to activate the dosing units together with the water load solenoid
valves.
However, all the chemical products loaded with the dosing units or dispenser first go through
the mixer before entering the tub; therefore, they always arrive already diluted.
7.3.5 TEMPERATURE

There are various pre-defined setting options of the temperature from which the profiles can
choose.
Moreover, the expert laundry operator can set an arbitrary heating value according to specific
requirements.
In correspondence of the chosen temperature value, the washing programme icon changes
colour and indicates the maximum temperature set inside the modules of the washing pro-
gramme.

This menu also includes the "disinfection YES/NO" option

If activated, the set temperature is monitored. Should the temperature drop below the indi-
cated values, an alarm will be triggered alerting the operator about the anomaly.

7.3.6 HEATING

There are three pre-defined heating settings.

• No heating;
• Balanced water loading with heating.
In the first case, the heating resistances will never be activated.
In the second case, GUIDO® balances the tub water inlets autonomously to minimise or elimi-
nate heating activation time.

You can also decide how to display the temperature when the washing programme is running:
• Real
• Set
• Altered
• Not displayed

In the first case, GUIDO® indicates the real value read by the probe. The second option dis-
plays only the value set as set-point, while the third option allows you to choose which value
must be displayed. This value does not effect the heating process.
The last option allows you to not display the temperature value.

In addition, it is possible to set a cooling process, useful for delicate fabrics and washes at
medium/high temperature.
The water in the tub must be reduced before the final draining and going to the subsequent
module.
This can be carried out thanks to the three items described below:
• Cooling temperature
• Cooling level
• Cooling litres
Where "cooling level" means up to which level of water in the tub cold water must be loaded
to decrease temperature; while with "cooling litres," the concept is the same but expressed in
litres and not in cm.
7.3.7 HYSTERESIS OR HEAT-REGULATION

During the progress of the module, you can choose whether GUIDO® must maintain the set
temperature for the entire time of the module or whether heating no longer needs to be acti-
vated once the set temperature is reached for the first time.
The lower the value the more precise the temperature. Very low values are useful in the event
disinfection is required or if natural-based detergents are used, which require low and constant
temperatures for several minutes.

Attention!
• By setting "NO heat-regulation," electrical consumptions are reduced.
However, the water temperature will drop once the value set for the
module is reached for the first time;
• On the other hand, setting heat-regulation increases electrical con-
sumptions of the appliances and improves washing efficiency;
• The operator must choose according to the specific requirements;
• All the pre-loaded programmes have heat-regulation active at a normal
value (-5 °C compared to the set-point value).

7.3.8 DRUM MOVEMENT

It is possible to set how the drum must move during the module and to define when the move-
ment must start and end.
All users can choose between the predefined settings indicated here and related to the load
capacity of each appliance.
• Light
• Normal
• Dynamic
• Defined by the user:
• Speed
• Rh/Lh activation
• Pause
Moreover, the expert laundry operator can define the type of activation of the drum if required.

The movement start can be:

Standard;
Upon reaching water level;
Upon reaching water temperature;
With the first option, movement must start together with the module; with the second option,
movement must start when the level is reached; with the third option, movement must start
when the temperature is reached.
The last option refers to the end of the movement, which can be:
• No
• When drain 1 or 2 drain
• At the end of temp/level maintenance
• At the end of the cooling process
The first selection involves continuous movement of the drum until the beginning of the sub-
sequent module if any.
For the second option, the movement must coincide with the opening of drain 1 or 2. The other
two options are obvious.
7.3.9 MODULE DURATION

All the profiles can set pre-defined durations, whereas the expert laundry operator can define
the duration of the module.
The module duration starts when the temperature is reached or when a set temperature must
be reached or once the level is reached in the other cases.

7.3.10 DRAIN MODE

Every module allows you to define how water must be drained. The options available are pro-
vided below:

• No draining
• Standard
• Recovered
• Tub cleaning
• Drain delay 1
• Drain delay 2

The first option allows you to skip the drain phase for the module you are programming;
therefore, it ends with all the water still in the tub. This water will be used for the subsequent
module, where at the "Water Loading" step, you must set "water from the previous module".
The second option manages the standard draining, i.e. discharge solenoid valve 1, which is
supplied with all the appliances. The third option allows you to open drain 2 (where provided)
for water recovery.
The fourth option allows you to open a third discharge solenoid valve (optional) found in the
recovery tank of the drained water (optional).
Items "drain delay 1 and 2" allow you to keep discharge valves 1 and 2 open for a certain
period while water is entering the tub and the drum is spinning. This is carried out to remove
coarse dirt from the fabric.

7.3.11 SPIN SPEED

Every module allows you to set a spin. The available options are listed below.

• No
• Delicate
• Standard
• Intense
• Defined by the user

The first option obviously does not carry out any spinning action at the end of the module. The
second, third, and fourth options allow the profiles to select predefined spin settings according
to the load capacity of the appliances, without involving every single function.

The expert laundry operator can proceed with the fifth option and manually set all the values
related to the spin function.

This way, the following values can be set:

• Speed
• Distribution with water
• Spin time
• Deceleration
• Minimum
• Standard
• With water
The speed field allows you to define the maximum spin speed for the module being pro-
grammed.
Remember that all the acceleration and deceleration ramps are predetermined by GUIDO® ac-
cording to the appliance model and speed set in this field.

The subsequent option allows you to choose whether to carry out distribution or not, i.e. the
spin enabling phase with or without water in the tub. We recommend always setting the value
to YES.
The spin time allows you to set the duration of the spin at the set speed, except for the accel-
eration and deceleration ramps.

As for deceleration, it is possible to select three types of deceleration, where the minimum one
corresponds to the use of the inverter braking function to slow the drum spin down. It reduces
work time of the appliances but wears the inverter component more quickly.
Standard deceleration leaves the drum to slow down by inertia, without any braking action.
This is the factory setting.
Deceleration with water means that the subsequent module involves water load. Therefore,
this water will help brake the drum after the spin cycle.

• Imbalance
• Electronic
• Both
• Mechanical
The imbalance function consists in three options. The first option manages the imbalance
controlled by the inverter electronically; the second option also manages the imbalance micro
switch; the third option only manages the imbalance micro switch.

• Restarts
• No
• Standard
• Defined by the user
This function is used to define how GUIDO® must behave after imbalance occurs: with the first
option, it does not try to restart spinning; with the second option, it tries for a certain amount
of times; with the third option, the expert laundry operator can set an arbitrary value accord-
ing to the specific requirements.

• Unroll
• No
• Delicate
• Standard
• Intense
• Defined by the user
• Distribution time

Unrolling consists in drum rotations after the spin phase. These rotations are used to prepare
the laundry to be unloaded and to facilitate this operation for the user.
The meanings of the possible options are now obvious. The "distribution time" sets the time of
this last phase.
7.4 COMPOSITION OF A WASHING PROGRAMME

To create a new washing programme, access the first display of GUIDO® and select icon (1):

Attention!
• The icon highlighted here is always on the last page of the washing
programmes.

Select and confirm this icon by touching OK. The display will appear as follows
It allows you to create a new module defined as "soak"

New soak

It allows you to create a new module defined as "pre-wash"

New pre-wash

It allows you to create a new module defined as "wash"

New wash

It allows you to create a new module defined as "rinse"

New rinse

It allows you to create a new module defined as "spin"

New spin

It allows you to name the new washing programme.

Washing pro-
gramme name

Attention!
• Regardless of the option, the fields to be set are always those indicated
in the previous paragraphs describing the internal module structure;
• A module programmed as "spin" does not allow you to set any param-
eters relative to the water and/or detergent management.
• A washing programme has maximum 9 modules.

Select and confirm one of these icons by touching OK. The screen changes, allowing you to set the module
parameters and functions.
Enter the modules in the order with which they will be carried out in the washing programme. Use the copy
and paste function to "move" the position of the modules created as per your requirements. You must first
save the programme to be able to use the copy and paste function.

Attention!
• To exit this new washing programme creation procedure, touch the left
arrow and confirm the entered data;
• If you touch STOP while exiting, the entered information will not be
saved.

Exit the procedure with the left arrow. Now you can:
Save;
Delete.
If you save the new programme, it will be available among the list of programmes found on the machine;
otherwise it will be deleted.
7.5 COPYING AND PASTING WASHING PROGRAMMES

It can be useful to copy an existing washing programme, modify only some of its values and save it as new.
In order to do so, position the cursor on the programme to be copied and touch the STOP symbol.
A window as shown here appears.

The first option allows you to save the programme without applying any modifications.
The second option allows you to save the selected programme with a name. A new programme appears in
the list of programmes with a different number compared to the previous one (it is automatically positioned
at the bottom of the list of available programmes), but with the same name and features. By modifying this
new programme and changing its name, you will create a new programme in the list the appliance proposes.
If the number of programmes exceeds 8, GUIDO® automatically creates a new page with multiples of 8
programmes per page.

Attention!
• Select the bin icon to delete the previously selected program;
• The deletion is permanent;
• To exit without applying any modifications, touch the red STOP
symbol.

* The patented DWS system determines a reduction in resource consumption in relation to the actual machine
laundry load (kg). Consumption corresponding to 100% of the nominal load was calculated according to the
international regulatory standard ISO 9398. The standard says to examine appliance performance depending
on a washing programme composed of a wash phase at 60°C, 3 rinse phases and a final spin at full power,
corresponding to a load equal to a nominal capacity with a 1:10 ratio of cotton fabric weighing 420gr/m2 with
dimensions of 60cm x 90cm.
** The amount of detergent is automatically reduced if the dosing pumps are directly managed by GUIDO®.
