1. Task Supporting Data
A. General
This task contains the Allowable Damage Limits (ADL) and related data applicable to dents fulfilling the "nearness/form" criterion (dent type 1) on th
e skin plates of the rear fuselage.
NOTE: A dent fulfilling "nearness/form" criterion (dent type 1) is defined as follows, refer to Figure 001 (Sheet 1) and Figure 002:
- The distance between the edge of the dent and any cut in the skin or any fastener row is larger than or equal to 15 mm (0.59 in) (B ≥ 15
mm (0.59 in))
- The maximum depth of the skin dent is shorter than or equal to 10% of the minimum distance between the maximum depth of the dent
and the edge of the nearest riveted/stiffened area (D ≤ 10% A).
NOTE: For dents out of "nearness/form" criterion (dent type 2), refer to TASK 53-41-11-283-022.
NOTE: For the definition of allowable damage, refer to Chapter 51-11-11.
NOTE: For damage/repair data recording, refer to Chapter 51-11-15.
NOTE: For repair of minor damage, refer to Chapter 51-73-00.

B. Area of Applicability
These ADL are applicable to the skin plates of the rear fuselage from FR64 thru FR70, except the excluded areas given in Figure 003.
NOTE: This task is applicable for all Weight Variants listed in the SRM Introduction for the related Aircraft.

D. Limits/Restrictions
(2) Make sure that the dents around static ports, pitot probe, multifunction probes and side-slip angle probes are within aerodynamic requireme
nts, refer to TASK 53-00-11-283-004.
(3) If the dent affects multiple skin thicknesses, each skin thickness must be considered and the most restrictive limitation must be applied.
(4) For the proximity requirements for dents, refer to Figure 001 (Sheet 2).
(5) These allowable damage limits are not applicable in areas with bonded doublers and bonded stiffeners. If bonded doublers and bonded stiff
eners are affected, contact AIRBUS.
E. Repair Category
This task is category A, B and C.
F. Inspection
It is necessary to do an inspection of this task at specified intervals, refer to TASK 53-41-11-205-093.

(1) For instructions on how to measure dents in the undisturbed skin of the fuselage, refer to Figure 001 (Sheet 1).
(2) Use Diagram 001 to find the limits of allowable dents in the undisturbed skin of the fuselage.

REFERENCE POINT TO GET THE DISTANCE 'A'.
B: IS THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE EDGE OF THE DENT AND ANY CUTOUT IN THE
SKIN OR ANY FASTENER ROW.
T: IS THE SKIN THICKNESS IN DENTED AREA. IF DENT AFFECTS SEVERAL SKIN THICKNESSES,
EACH OF THEM HAS TO BE CONSIDERED AND THE WORST LIMITATION HAS TO BE APPLIED.

OPTION 1 - DO AN EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL HFEC INSPECTION OF DENT,
SEE NTM TASK 51-10-08-250-802.
- IF NO CRACKS FOUND, RENEW SURFACE PROTECTION IF NECESSARY AND PERFORM
REPETITIVE INSPECTIONS, SEE TASK 53-41-11-205-093 APPLICABLE BEFORE MODIFICATIONS

- IF NO CRACKS FOUND, PERFORM REPETITIVE INSPECTIONS, SEE TASK 53-41-11-205-093.
- IF CRACKS DETECTED, DO A SKIN REPAIR AS GIVEN IN THE RELEVANT REPAIR TASK OR
CONTACT AIRBUS BEFORE NEXT FLIGHT.
AT ANY TIME, IF EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL HFEC ARE PERFORMED WITH NIL FINDINGS,
REPAIR LIFE LIMIT DESCRIBED AT OPTION 1 CAN BE ACHIEVED.
