A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration

WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.


(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002.
(2) Open the left MLG door Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(4) Open the access panels 197CB, 195BB, 196BB.
(5) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoir of the applicable hydraulic system is pressurized to a minim
um of 50 psi (3.4474 bar). If necessary pressurize it Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002.
(6) Do a check of the fluid level of the applicable hydraulic reservoir. If necessary fill the reservoir Ref. A
MM TASK 12-12-29-611-001 or Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002.

4. Procedure

SUBTASK 29-00-00-210-053-A
A. Check for Air in the Green Hydraulic System.
(1) Do the subsequent steps to make sure that there is no air in the hydraulic system.

(a) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system until the hydraulic pressure is stable Ref. AMM TASK
29-10-00-863-001 or Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001>.

(b) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system and let the hydraulic reservoir level become stable
in 1 minute Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001.

(c) Make sure that the reservoir is pressurized to a minimum of 50 psi (3.4474 bar). If necessar
y pressurize it Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002.

(d) Read the gage of the Green reservoir and record the fluid level.

(e) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001

(f) After 5 minutes read the gage of the Green reservoir again and record the fluid level.

(g) Compare the two levels.

1 If the difference between the two levels is more than 2 l (0.5283 USgal), do the relate
d bleeding procedure: Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-001, Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-
870-002, Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-003.

2 If the difference is not more than 2 l (0.5283 USgal) , no bleeding operation is necess
ary.

SUBTASK 29-00-00-210-054-B
B. Check for Air in the Blue Hydraulic System.
(1) Do the subsequent steps to make sure that there is no air in the hydraulic system.

(a) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system until the hydraulic pressure is stable Ref. AMM TASK 2
9-10-00-863-003.

(b) Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system and let the hydraulic reservoir level become stable i
n 1 minute Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003.

(c) Make sure that the reservoir is pressurized to a minimum of 50 psi (3.4474 bar). If necessar
y pressurize it Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002.

(d) Read the gage of the Blue reservoir and record the fluid level.

(e) Depressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001

(f) After 5 minutes read the gage of the Blue reservoir again and record the fluid level.

(g) Compare the two levels.

1 If the difference between the two levels is more than 1 l (0.2642 USgal), do the relate
d bleeding procedure: Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-008 and/or Ref. AMM TASK 29-
00-00-870-009.

2 If the difference is not more than 1 l (0.2642 USgal), no bleeding operation is necess
ary.

SUBTASK 29-00-00-210-055-A
C. Check for Air in the Yellow Hydraulic System.
(1) Do the subsequent steps to make sure that there is no air in the hydraulic system.

(a) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system until the hydraulic pressure is stable Ref. AMM TAS
K 29-10-00-863-002 or Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001.

(b) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system and let the hydraulic reservoir level become stabl
e in 1 minute Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002.

(c) Make sure that the reservoir is pressurized to a minimum of 50 psi (3.4474 bar). If necessar
y pressurize it Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002.

(d) Read the gage of the Yellow reservoir and record the fluid level.

(e) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-00
1.

(f) After 5 minutes read the gage of the Yellow reservoir again and record the fluid level.

(g) Compare the two levels.

1 If the difference between the two levels is more than 1.5 l (0.3963 USgal), do the rela
ted bleeding procedure Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-004, Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-0
0-870-005, Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-006 Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-007.

2 If the difference is not more than 1.5 l (0.3963 USgal), no bleeding operation is nece
ssary.

5. Close-up

SUBTASK 29-00-00-860-090-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoir of the applicable hydraulic system is pressurized. If necessar
y pressurize it Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002.
(2) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is corre
ct. Add fluid if necessary Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001 or Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002.
(3) Close the left MLG door Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001.
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the access panels 197CB, 195BB, 196BB.
