B. Get Access
(1) Remove the emergency exit hatches Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-000-001 and/or Ref. AMM TASK 52-
21-11-000-004.
(2) Remove the applicable lower side-wall panel Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001.
(3) Remove the applicable insulation blankets from the inspection area Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-
001.

C. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material Ref. 08BAA9) and t
he Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material Ref. 14SBA1).

A. Inspection
(1) Do a detailed inspection of the longitudinal beam flanges at left and right stringers 20A for damage
or discontinuities. Do this inspection between FR38 and FR39 and between FR40 and FR41.
(2) Make sure that there is no:

(a) Corrosion damage:

If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 51-22-00) for the corro
sion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.

(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):

If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 51-11-00) fo
r the damage types, classification and corrective action.

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the removed insulation blankets Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001.
(3) Install the applicable lower side-wall panel Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-400-001.
(4) Install the removed emergency exit hatches Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-400-001 and/or Ref. AMM T
ASK 52-21-11-400-004.

B. De-energize the ground service network Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001.
