Jona and Jana are best friends. They live in an island.

201
One Saturday morning, Jona and Jana agreed to go to a picnic near the sea. They left
home without asking permission from their parents. They will swim but when they got
there,Jona insisted so Jana went with her, though she did not swim well.

1
They are having fun when a swift flow of water brought Jona to a deeper part of
the water that almost drowned her. Jana was so nervous and she did not know what to do.
Fortunately, a fisherman saw what happened to Jona and saved her.
Their parents scolded them when they learned the incident.
From then on, the two learned to ask permission from their parents every time
they go somewhere.

1. Who did not know how to swim?

2. What can you say about Jana and Jona when they did not ask permission from their
parents to go on a picnic?
3. Why was asking permission to our parents significant or important when we want to go
somewhere?
4. What inferences can you make if the fisherman did not see Jona drowning?
5. What would happen if Jana and Jona asked permission from their parents to go on a
picnic?
