05 – Assembly

05.01 – Positioning in the pit

VERY IMPORTANT: When working with the table, you must always observe the law on
occupational risk prevention and the regulations on health, safety and hygiene at work.

The table must be placed in the pit using a crane or similar and lifted using chains, slings or
similar, with a load capacity greater than the weight of the table. These chains or slings must be
secured to the eyebolts on the upper plate of the table (see Figure 2).

Fig. 2

Now unroll the electric cable and pass it through the conduit centred in the back of the pit (see
Figure 3). Once the cable has come right out of the other end of the conduit, place the table
correctly in the pit. The distance between the sides of the table and the pit must be exactly equal
(generally 20mm).

Fig. 3

05.02 – Connecting the table

If the table is to be installed as a loading platform, the control panel on the wall must be on the
truck driver's side, so that the table operator can see and speak directly to the driver if necessary
(see Fig. 4).

Fasten the electric panel box to the wall, at the desired height and perfectly aligned with the
cables coming from the table.

Adjust the conduit the electrical cables run through to the distance between the electric panel and
the ground.

Fasten the conduit to the wall with at least 3 clamps. It must be perpendicular to the ground and
aligned with the cables coming from the table.

The plastic conduit comes taped to one of the sides of the table bedplate.

Once everything is well secured, run the cables through and connect them according to the
electrical diagram found inside the control panel.

Remove the screws in the upper plate that secure the upper structure to the lower base to enable
transport.

VERY IMPORTANT: Under NO circumstances may the operator get under the table without
locking the lowering function with the safety bar.

Once you have made the connections and placed the table in the pit, press the up button until the
table reaches maximum height, press the down button and, without releasing the button, verify
that the toe-guard works perfectly by activating it at various points along the width and length of
the table and checking that the table stops each time it is pressed.

Finally, check the table's paintwork is in good condition and retouch any defects you find.

The installation can be deemed finished when the installer authorised by INKEMA SISTEMAS,
S.L. fills in the corresponding installation control sheet.

05.03 – Fixing
Once the table is positioned in the pit, verify the following points:

Recheck the distances between the sides of the table and the pit are exactly equal (generally
20mm).

The table must be fixed to the ground, recommend for this M12 Ø16 metal anchors (these pieces
are NOT supplied with the scissor table). Once you have checked the distance between the table
and the pit and connected the machine to the mains, the operator shall follow these steps (see
Figure 4):

26/01/2016 Instruction manual ME Page 8

06 – Disassembly
VERY IMPORTANT: When working with the table, you must always observe the law on
occupational risk prevention and the regulations on health, safety and hygiene at work.

The disassembly process for the table is the following:

- Press the up button until it is fully raised. If the table is damaged, place the eyebolts supplied
with the table, screw them all the way in, hook the chains from the crane onto the eyebolts and use
the crane to lift the table.
- Activate the lower travel end.
- Lower the table until the wheel makes contact with the lower travel end.
- The operator must get under the table and remove the anchors that fix the table to the ground
and come out from under the table.
- Lift the table up to its maximum height and remove the lower travel end.
- Lower the table up to its standby position, insert the screws that fix the upper structure to the
lower base, and place the eyebolts (if they have not already been placed).
- Cut off the power supply and disconnect the control panel. Remove the control panel box and
the electric cable conduit.
- After doing these tasks, remove the table from the pit.
The tasks using the crane require chains, slings or similar, with a load capacity greater than the
weight of the table.

07 – Instructions for use
07.01 – Before use
Visually verify that the table is in perfect condition for use.

Check that the plate of the table's upper structure is at the same level as the ground on which the
fork lift or pallet truck you going to load is standing (see Figure 5).

Fig. 5

Make sure that the load you are going to lift on the table never exceeds the nominal load the table
can bear (see plate on the table where its characteristics are specified).

Connect the switching circuit by turning the red upper switch. Now the green light will light up
(see Figure 6).

Fig. 6

26/01/2016 Instruction manual ME Page 11

Manual ME EN V04.doc
Check that the load is always deposited on the table in the same direction, parallel to the scissors.
It is categorically prohibited to load and unload the table perpendicular to the scissors (see
Figure 7).

Fig. 7

Lift the load deposited in the table to the desired level (see Figure 8).

Fig. 8

If the table is being used as a loading platform, you must also:

Centre the vehicle against the rubber stops on the facade of the loading bay.

Check that the vehicle is completely immobilised and locked (stop the engine, apply the parking
brake and chock the wheels).

26/01/2016 Instruction manual ME Page 12

Manual ME EN V04.doc
07.02 – During use
It is categorically prohibited to get into the table or pit while the table is loaded; the lower travel
end cannot be activated when the table is loaded.

When lifting the load, try to keep it as centred as possible on the upper structure of the table and
make sure the load is completely immobile before of pressing the up or down button.

Press the table up button until it reaches the desired height and always check that the upper
structure plate is perfectly aligned with the required level. The table will stop when you stop
pressing the up or down button, remaining in this position.

If the table has segmented lips, place them horizontally for loading or unloading, and then put
them back into the vertical position if you have to move the table again.

Watch while moving the load that the table segmented lips always rest on the load surface. If they
come away, immediately stop the loading process.

Hand trucks must be driven carefully. The maximum transit speed calculated for the table is
10km/h and you must not brake sharply on it.

07.03 – After use

If the table is raised, press the down button until it reaches its lowest level.

If the table has segmented segmented lips, put them in their resting position

Turn off the control panel and, if it has a padlock, ensure the switch is locked.

07.04 – Precautions for use

Never exceed the maximum nominal load (see the table's characteristics plate).

Before of each operation, verify that there is nobody in the work area.

If the table has segmented lips, check that they are well supported on the loading or unloading
surface of overlapping it by 130mm.

Before raising the table, ensure its movement will not be obstructed by other equipment (doors,
etc. )

09 – Maintenance

The correct operation and long lifetime of the table depend largely on the preventive maintenance
you perform.

The advanced maintenance can only be performed by INKEMA SISTEMAS S.L.'s Technical
Service or approved personnel.

This maintenance is performed to preserve the safety and usage characteristics the product has at
the moment it is installed.

Any change, repair or handling of the product that does not comply with these guidelines will
void the guarantee and INKEMA SISTEMAS S.L.'s responsibility for the product will be
automatically annulled.

Greasing, painting and continuous supervision are the best way to guarantee good performance
for many years.

09.01 - Hydraulic oil

The hydraulic oil must be changed once every two years.

The oil must contain agents that prevent foam formation, rusting and water absorption.

You must never mix different oils, as the oil new may have a different resistance to rusting and
alter the duration of the original oil.

It is important to check the oil level every 6 months. You should fill the oil tank up to the
maximum level.

The machine comes with HVI-32 oil.

The hydraulic oil for lift tables that are in refrigerated warehouses must have the specific
properties for use at the temperature to which it is exposed. If this is the case, please inform the
manufacturer of the conditions in which the machine will work so it can be equipped with special
oil.
