Application Methodology
Surface Preparation
Surface must be prepared by grinding, wire brushing
followed by cleaning with air blower or compressed air to
remove loose materials, mortar splashes and other
contaminants. Substrate damages such as cracks, pin holes
and honeycombs must be repaired using suitable GT Crete
cementitious repair mortar. Wash the surface with clean
water prior to applying the coating.
Metal and PU foam surfaces must be cleaned well to
remove loose particles, paint splashes etc.,
Priming
Primer coat is recommended on highly porous substrate
and vertical surface to seal pores and stabilize the
substrate. Application of primer must be carried out
preferably on a damp substrate. Dilute GT Acryl PC60
coated with equal part of clean water by volume (1 part GT
Acryl PC60 : 1 part of water by volume). The coverage rate
of primer shall be 5 sqm/litre/coat. Allow the primer to
become completely dry prior to application of top coat.
This will take approx.. 6‐12 hours depending on ambient
temperature and porosity of substrate.
Mixing
Mixing of GT Acryl PC60 must be carried out after opening
the pail using a slow speed drilling machine fitted with
paddle. This will ensure an even consistency material
without any lumps or sediments. Mix for 3‐5 minutes to
get a uniform consistency mix.

Application
Mixed GT Acryl PC60 shall be applied using brush,
roller or airless spray machine over the primed
substrate. Minimum two coats are recommended.
The second coat must be applied after the first coat
is fully dry and in right angle to the first coat.
GT Acryl PC60 coating shall be reinforced using a
open weave glass fibre mesh of minimum 50gsm or
geotextile membrane of 100 gsm placed between the
first and second coat, whilst the first coat is wet. Use
of glass fibre mesh is recommended on substrate
with cracks, coating transition at upstands and
around penetrations such as pipes, ducts etc., Glass
fibre width shall be minimum 200mm and the overlap
must be 50mm.
For Roof Waterproofing applications : Apply GT Acryl
PC60 at 1.2 ltr/sqm/coat. Minimum 2 coats
recommended.
For Protection applications : Apply GT Acryl PC60 at
0.85 ltrs/sqm/coat. Minimum 2 coats recommended
to achieve dry film thickness of 1mm. Application
include as protective coating over blockwork, plaster
and PU foam surfaces.
Allow the applied coating to dry for 24 hours prior to
exposing to subsequent activities.
Clean the applications tools using water. Dried
material shall be removed mechanically.

Application Restrictions General Terms & Conditions

 Do not apply when rain is imminent within 24
hours of application.
 Check compatibility and adhesion prior to
application over existing paint.
 Do not apply on very dry and hot surface. This may
affect coating performance.
Health & Safety
GT Acryl PC60 is nontoxic. However, it should not
come in contact with eyes or to be swallowed.
Always ensure adequate ventilation and avoid
inhalation of vapours. The applicator should wear
appropriate clothes, gloves and goggles. Use of
barrier cream is recommended to provide
additional skin protection. If comes in contact with
eyes, flush with plenty of fresh water and seek
medical advice.
Consult ASAS Technical Department prior to using
the product beyond the purview stated in this
product datasheet.
