TALK SHOW, EXPO AND PRESENTATION OF


BUREAUCRATIC REFORM AWARDS
Nusa Dua Bali, 5 - 6 December 2023

Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, HE Prof. Dr. (H.C.) K.H.


Ma'ruf Amin, attended the Appreciation and Presentation of the
Evaluation Results of the Government Performance Accountability
System (SAKIP), Bureaucratic Reform (RB), and Integrity Zone (ZI)
in Bali. The event, themed "Toward World Class Bureaucracy: From
Vision to Action Impacting Indonesia's Progress," was initiated by
the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB)
and took place over two days at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention
Center, the largest convention center in the Island of Paradise.

Several ministers and governors, including Minister of Home Affairs HE Mr. Tito Karnavian, Minister of Finance
HE Mdm. Sri Mulyani Indrawati, and Governor of Yogyakarta Mr. Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, received
certificates of appreciation from the Vice President. The event, attended by the Chairman of the Corruption
Eradication Commission (KPK) HE Mr. Nawawi Pomolango, Minister of PANRB HE Mr. Abdullah Azwar Anas,
Acting Governor of Bali Mr Irjen (Ret.) Sang Made Mahendra Jaya, and over 1500 participants representing
ministries, institutions, and local governments nationwide, recognized 200 institutions with awards this year.
The talk show on the first day took place in six different meeting rooms, and each class was attended by more
than 210 participants.

THE NATIONAL PROCUREMENT COORDINATION MEETING


Jakarta, 7 - 8 November 2023

“Transformation of Procurement for Advanced Indonesia” was the


theme of the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) organized
by the Government Goods and Services Procurement Policy
Institution (LKPP) at Hotel Bidakara Jakarta. This event served as a
primary platform within the national procurement ecosystem,
providing a strategic venue for stakeholders to communicate
effectively. The goal of this event was to convey the vision, policies,
achievements, and results attained in the Government Goods and
Services Procurement Program (PBJP) for the Fiscal Year 2023. In
an enthusiastic atmosphere, Rakornas PBJP 2023 was attended by
the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) HE Mr. Teten Masduki, Minister of
Transportation HE Mr. Budi Karya Sumadi, Head of LKPP HE Mr. Hendrar Prihadi, and 2447 other participants
from various ministries, institutions, and regional governments. This event also served as a stage for
formulating strategies and policies that would shape the direction of Government Goods and Services
Procurement in 2024.

THE FOUNDATION FOR INNOVATIVE NEW


DIAGNOSTICS MEETING
Nusa Dua Bali, 8 - 11 November 2023

The Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND), a global


non-profit organization established in 2023, is collaborating with
the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia to organize a
meeting at Mulia Resort Bali attended by delegations from six
countries including America, Germany, Swiss, Africa, India, and
Nigeria. The meeting is expected to achieve tangible outcomes
within the framework of the G20 Indonesia. The discussions
centered around endeavors to expedite the development,
evaluation, and distribution of high-quality and cost-effective
diagnostic testing tools for potential pandemic and endemic
diseases in developing countries, including TB, malaria, hepatitis C, and neglected tropical diseases. This
collaboration supports the establishment of a global manufacturing center and the improvement of research
regulations, while enhancing the capacity for local research and manufacturing, public-private partnerships,
and the manufacturing ecosystem. Health Minister HE Mr. Budi G. Sadikin expresses support for FIND's priority
programs, particularly in the development of diagnostic tools for tropical diseases, and discusses potential
cooperation in the transformation of Indonesia's healthcare system, including efforts to establish diagnostic
tool manufacturing facilities

INDONESIA PROCUREMENT FORUM AND EXPO


Jakarta, 7 - 8 November 2023

The Indonesian Procurement Experts Association (IAPI) organized


the Indonesia Procurement Forum and Expo (IPFE) annually, a
national forum on procurement that had been held since 2014.
The event took place at Hotel Bidakara Jakarta with the theme
"Procurement Transformation for Advancing Indonesia" and was
attended by more than 1000 participants. IPFE addressed various
current issues related to the procurement of goods and services,
with increasing interest each year from both seminar participants
and visitors from diverse professional backgrounds in ministries,
institutions, and regional governments. The event also featured an
exhibition where businesses could showcase their products to government agencies involved in procurement.

SUBROTO AWARD CEREMONY


Nusa Dua Bali, 30 Oktober 2023

Every year, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM)


organizes the Subroto Award, a prestigious accolade presented to
stakeholders who have demonstrated outstanding performance in
advancing the energy and mineral resources sector in Indonesia.
In 2023, the ministry hosted the Subroto Award Ceremony at the
Renaissance Nusa Dua Bali Hotel, attended by more than 100
award-receiving companies. There are several award categories
presented by the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy,
and Energy Conservation (EBTKE). One of them is the
Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Performance Category and
Geothermal Engineering Subcategory for Unproduced Working Areas. Additionally, there is also the
Environmental Pollution Control Category with the Produced Working Areas Subcategory. The event was
enlivened by the Sekar Jepun Dance as a welcoming dance and a special performance by one of Indonesia's
Divas, Ruth Sahanaya. The Subroto Award is inspired by Prof. Dr. Subroto, a prominent figure in the mining
and energy sector in Indonesia, who served as the Minister of Mining and Energy from 1978 to 1988 and as
the Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) from 1988 to 1994.

The ASEAN Foreign Affairs Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) was an


important and strategic gathering that initiated and laid the
foundation for various priorities and deliverables of the ASEAN
Charmanship in 2023. Attended by 300 delegates representing all
ASEAN member states, the meeting was held at Ayana Bali Resort,
Jimbaran, for six days. The SOM Meeting marked the first meeting
under Indonesia’s Chairmanship during which the Senior Officials
discussed follow-up actions on decisions and discussions that
would be made by Ministers during the September 2023 ASEAN
Ministerial Meeting (AMM). The Indonesian goverment, through
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, supported the meeting by providing
all the necessary logistics to ensure its success.
