 Customer
Acquisition Cost
(CAC)
Your total expense for sales and marketing.
For a particular period (month, quarter, or
year), perform the following steps to calculate
CAC:
Total the cost of the advertising or
programme plus the salaries, commissions,
bonuses, and overhead.
Subtract the quantity of brand-new clients
during that time period.
For instance, if you spent $500,000 on sales
and marketing in a given month and acquired
50 new clients, your monthly CAC was
$10,000.
 Inbound
Marketing
Instead of marketers having to go out and
attract prospects' attention, inbound marketing
refers to marketing activities that draw visitors
in.
It all comes down to grabbing customers'
attention, making the business simple to find
online, and luring customers to the website by
creating engaging, informative content. By
publishing content that is in line with your
audience's interests, you can draw inbound
traffic that you can eventually convert, close,
and delight.
 Monthly
Recurring Revenue
(MRR)
The monthly revenue generated by a
subscription-based business.
Includes MRR gained from upsells (net
gain), MRR lost from downsells (net loss),
MRR gained from new accounts (net new),
and MRR gained from cancellations (net
loss).
 User
Experience (UX)
A customer's entire interaction with a
specific business, from their initial
discovery and brand awareness through
their interaction, purchase, use, and even
brand advocacy.
You must think like a customer, or better
yet, imagine yourself to be the customer
in order to provide an excellent customer
experience.
 Application
Programming
Interface (API)
APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) are
sets of rules in computer programming that
enable applications to communicate and share
data with each other.
They act as a bridge, allowing one application
to access and use information from another,
facilitating data exchange, and enhancing
software functionality.
HubSpot provides APIs that developers use to
integrate its software with other applications,
making it essential for marketers to grasp their
capabilities and incorporate them into their
marketing strategies.
