How Apple is implementing its channel strategies towards sustainable

development

Apple has partnered with its suppliers to develop a new 100% recycled aluminum alloy for use
in its products. This alloy is as strong and durable as traditional aluminum, but it requires less
energy to produce.

Apple has launched a new program to help its suppliers transition to renewable energy. The
program provides financial assistance and technical support to suppliers who want to switch to
renewable energy sources.

Apple has redesigned its packaging to use less material and make it easier to recycle. Apple's
new packaging is made from 100% recyclable materials and is 70% smaller than previous
packaging.

Apple has made it easier for customers to recycle their old products through its Apple Trade In
program. Customers can bring their old Apple products to any Apple Store or mail them in for
recycling. Apple will then recycle the products or give them a new life through its refurbishing
program.

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production: Apple is committed to reducing the
environmental impact of its products and operations. Its channel strategies help the company
to promote sustainable consumption and production practices. For example, Apple Stores
encourage customers to recycle their old iPhones, and they offer information about the
company's sustainability efforts. Apple's website also includes information about the
company's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and use sustainable materials in its products.

SDG 13: Climate Action: Apple is also committed to combating climate change. Its channel
strategies help the company to reduce the energy consumption of its retail stores and operations.
For example, Apple Stores are designed to be energy efficient, and they use renewable energy
sources whenever possible. Apple's website also includes information about the company's
efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and use sustainable materials in its products.
