 INTRODUCTION
Student Industrial training is the process of learning, acquiring skills, needed in
an industry for a job to be done. It is a very important factor in the development
of the student, industries and even the society at large. This program is aimed at
exposing the student to the various machines and equipment, professional work
ethics and ways of safe guarding the work areas in industries as well as other
parastatals. This is an effort which was created in order to bridge the existing
gap between the theory taught in the classroom and practice of science,
Agriculture, Medicine, Engineering, Technology and other professional
programs in the Nigerian tertiary institutions. The program was established
basically to impact and elaborate practical understanding to student through a
process of relation to academic knowledge and practical industrial application
would understand the underlying principles and become focused and acquire
the practical application towards excellence in his/her discipline.

HISTORY OF AYODEJI BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

Ayodeji Building Construction commenced operations in 2021 at Okitipupa LGA, Founded

and Owned by Engr. Ikujeji Ayodeji.
AYODEJI BUILDING CONSTRUCTION ENTERPRISES was specialized on building construction,
road construction, infrastructure development, building design and consultant.
AYODEJI BUILDING CONSTRUCTION ENTERPRISES has also been a haven for SIWES and IT
students from different institutions of learning all over the country.

OBJECTIVES OF AYODEJI BUILDING CONSTRUCTION ENTERPRISES

To give employment to youth.
To make money
To construct roads
To construct infrastructure
To repair and maintenance of roads

SETTING OUT OF A BUILDING
Setting out is bringing the dimensions from a plan to the real situation . The activity
consists of establishing the exact location and measurements of the house to be built. The
first activity of setting out is to clear the ground of any debris, vegetation and other
obstructions.
EXCAVATION
Excavation is the process of moving earth, rock, or other materials with tools, equipment,
or explosives. It includes earthwork, trenching, wall shafts, tunneling, and underground.
Excavation has a number of important applications including exploration, environmental
restoration, mining, and construction.
BASIC STEPS IN SETTING OF CONCRETE BLOCK
Concrete blocks are five or six times larger than bricks, so you might think that setting
blocks would be about that much easier. But the blocks are heavier than bricks—about 40
pounds—and require more mortar, so there’s little time or effort saved.

PLUMBING PIPES, FITTINGS, AND THEIR USES
A fitting or adapter is used in pipe systems to connect sections of pipe (designated
by nominal size, with greater tolerances of variance) or tube (designated by actual size, with
lower tolerance for variance), adapt to different sizes or shapes, and for other purposes such
as regulating (or measuring) fluid flow.[1][2] These fittings are used in plumbing to
manipulate the conveyance of fluids such as water for potatory, irrigational, sanitary,
and refrigerative purposes, gas, petroleum, liquid waste , or any other liquid or gaseous
substances required in domestic or commercial environments, within a system of pipes or
tubes, connected by various methods, as dictated by the material of which these are made,
the material being conveyed, and the particular environmental context in which they will be
used, such as soldering, mortaring, caulking, Plastic welding, welding, friction
fittings, threaded fittings, and compression fittings.

CONTRIBUTION TO THE MINISTRY OF WORKS AKURE
My contribution during my SIWES is stated as fellow;
There are so many departments and section here. Am at the construction section for
up to three months. I had a lot of lectures on the other aspects of building
construction materials production including drain of ground, section respectively. I
also brief on inking of certificate and some of its importance like
It serves as building of house foundation
How to set blocks
Has been found in very useful in supporting treatment in partial stroke

 CONCLUSION
The 9-week SIWES program has provided me with invaluable insights into on-site work and
road construction processes. The significance of this program cannot be overstated as it
fosters practical skills and development in students, equipping them with hands-on
experience essential for their professional growth.

 RECOMMENDATION
I use this medium to make the following recommendations concerning the training of student
in industrial attachment.
The continuation of this program for polytechnic students is essential as it effectively bridges
the gap between theoretical learning and practical application within our courses of study.
Government oversight is imperative to ensure proper supervision of SIWES students, thereby
maximizing the program's efficacy.
This program empowers us to cultivate self-reliance and entrepreneurship, steering us away
from solely pursuing traditional white-collar employment opportunities post-ND graduation.
To uphold the quality standards of both educational institutions and the ITF, it is crucial for
the ITF to promptly address any backlog in student allowance payments. Resolving this issue
swiftly is paramount to preserving the positive reputation of the SIWES program.
