Accounts Project - 1
Kabir Singh decided to commence business of Garments under the name of M/s Kabir Garments from 1st April, 2022.
Kabir had savings of ₹ 5,00,000 out of which he invested ₹ 4,00,000 into the business commenced by him. He also
borrowed ₹ 3,00,000 from Bank of Baroda. Kabir purchased a building costing ₹ 2,00,000 for factory of the business.
Kabir also purchased Machines costing ₹ 70,000. The Bank loan was to be repaid in 3 instalments along with the
interest as follows:

The business was registered and required legal formalities by taking TAN no., PAN no. and GSTIN no, etc. were
complied with in which a total of ₹ 2,500 was spent. Kabir sensed the requirement of more funds so he deposited ₹
2,50,000 into bank on 1st May, 2022. On 1st April, 2022 Security Deposit of ₹ 5,000 for the electricity connection with
JSEB and ₹ 2,000 for BSNL landline connection was made with the concerned authority. Furniture was also purchased
on 1st April, 2022.
All payments were made by cheque. At the end of the year, the business showed the following information:
Total Sales - ₹ 35,00,000
Total Purchases - ₹ 15,00,000
Electricity Expenses paid - ₹ 50,000
Telephone Charges - ₹ 50,000
Cartage Inwards - ₹ 10,000
Cartage Outwards - ₹ 15,000
Travelling Expenses - ₹ 25,000
Maintenance Expenses - ₹ 50,000
Miscellaneous Expenses - ₹ 20,000
Electricity Charges payable - ₹ 20,000
Kabir withdrew ₹ 7,000 by cheque each month for his personal expenses.

Journalise the above transactions in the books of M/s Kabir Garments, post them into the ledger Accounts and
Prepare Trial Balance.

General Instruction for Project Preparation of Accounts/Commerce


1. Projects must be done in Hard Cover Files.
2. Project Cover file must be covered with Silver Marble Paper.
3. Name of the Project must be written on the top of the Project over the Silver Marble Paper.
4. Students name, class, roll no. and section must be written on the top of the Project on Silver Marble Paper.
5. For class 12 – Unique ID no. place should be left blank along with Serial Number.
6. Project should be done neatly and without any cuts.
7. Project Paper should be One page rule and one page blank.
8. Blank pages must be used to paste relevant pictures and Rule page must be used for writing purpose.
9. Project must be completed in time.
10. Date of Project submission will be informed later on. But all the students must complete the projects before
the stipulated time.
11. There will be no extra time given.
12. Projects must be written as per the details provided along with the Project description.
13. Students are supposed to use Black/Blue ink Ball pen to write the project.
14. Students are not allowed to use Pencil to write the projects.
