The body of this betta is made in continuous rounds, do not connect rounds unless
specifically stated. The fins are crocheted in panels.
Stop here to insert safety eyes in row between rounds 4-5 and on opposite sides when the piece
is folded in half.
Stop here to lightly stuff, making sure to keep the shape basically folded in half to give the
perfect fish body shape.
Row 2: in 3rd st from hook, 4dc, 3hdc, 2sc, ss, chain 1, turn
Row 5: in 2nd st from hook, ss, 2sc, 3hdc, 7dc. finish off
With col. 22 and hook, ss the lines in the fins as shown in the photos. Join and finish off
Row 5: in 2nd ch from hook, 3sc, hdc inc, hdc inc, 9sc, ch 1, turn
Row 8: in 2nd st from hook, 4sc, 4inc, 2sc, Join with ss and finish off
With col. 22 and hook, ss the lines in the fins as shown in the photos. Join and finish off
Row 3: in 2nd st from hook, ss, 2sc, join with ss and finish off
With col. 22 and hook, ss the lines in the fins as shown in the photos. Join and finish off

ASSEMBLY
To start, sew the tail onto the body on that last row, tie off and weave in ends.
Next, position the top fin centered on the top and starting on row 6 sew, tying off when done
and weaving in ends
Situate the bottom fin centered on the bottom and starting at row 7 and sew on, tie off and
weave in ends when done
Finally position the fins on either side of the fish and sew on, tying off and weaving in ends
