Course Title : PUBLIC FISCAL ADMINISTRATION

Credit : Three (3) Units

Time Allotment : 54 Hrs.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course covers what is popularly known as “the public finance cycle”. Consisting of major activities in public fiscal administration. Public fiscal
administration is about the finances of the public sector, how these are administered and how these affect or promote the genera well-being of citizens.

COURSE OUTCOME: At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
1. Differentiate the concepts embodied in public fiscal administration.
2. Examine the suggested analytical framework for the course.
3. Compare the functions of fiscal policy in developed country, and in developing country like the Philippines.
4. Analyze the coordination and conflict of fiscal policy when pursuing multiple economic objectives.
5. Explain the role of fiscal policy in developing countries.

Course audience : All incoming third year Public Administration students.

Attendance Policy : The following items below are taken from the newly revised handbook:
a) Eight (8) consecutive absences a student is automatically dropped from class.
b) For instance wherein a student was reported sick.

General Course requirements : Enumerated below are the requirements for passing the subject:

1. SBC College department follows the cumulative system of grading.
2. At the end of the semester, the student receives a percentage grade, which is thirty percent (30%) of the Midterm Grade
and seventy percent (70%) of the tentative final grade. He/ She is appraised of every grading period.
