The Common Core Standards in Reading (Literature and Informational Text), Writing, Speaking
and Listening, and Language will prepare students to succeed in college and career. The College
and Career Readiness Anchor Standards define expectations for the end of high school. The
grade-specific standards define expectations for that grade.
