Step 2: Reflection on the use of AI
Take some time to think about the things you have learned about AI and how it may
impact your future. After that, write a brief paragraph that answers the questions in
the box below.
To pass this part of your milestone, your reflection paragraph must answer all
three questions. You can also write out the answers to each question in three
separate sentences.

1. Which aspects of interacting with AI in your daily life are you most excited or
concerned about?
2. In what ways do you think AI will impact your current or future career?
3. What are some of the ethical challenges posed by AI that you are most worried or
curious about?

1- Excitement about AI

● Convenience: AI assistants like Siri and Alexa can automate tasks, answer
questions, and control smart devices, making daily life easier.
● Personalization: AI can personalize experiences, like suggesting products you
might like or recommending movies you'd enjoy.
● Innovation: AI is constantly evolving and has the potential to solve complex
problems in areas like healthcare, transportation, and sustainability.

Concerns about AI

● Privacy: AI systems collect a lot of data, which raises concerns about privacy
and how that data is used.
● Job displacement: As AI automates tasks, some people worry about job
losses.
● Bias: AI systems can perpetuate biases present in the data they're trained on,
leading to unfair outcomes.
● Transparency: It can be difficult to understand how AI systems make
decisions, raising concerns about accountability.
2- Enhanced Abilities: Advancements in AI could allow me to process information
faster, understand nuances better, and generate even more creative text formats.

● New Applications: I could be used in new ways, like helping scientists

analyze data or writers overcome creative blocks.
● Focus Shift: If AI takes over more tasks like basic information retrieval, I might
be used more for complex reasoning and problem-solving.

3- Bias and Discrimination: AI systems trained on biased data can perpetuate

those biases. This could lead to unfair outcomes in areas like loan approvals or job
applications. I'm curious about how AI can be developed to be more equitable and
avoid discriminatory practices.

Transparency and Explainability: Many AI systems are complex and opaque,

making it hard to understand how they reach decisions. This lack of transparency can
be problematic, especially when it comes to high-stakes decisions. I'm interested in
the development of AI that can explain its reasoning in a way humans can
understand.
