FORMATTING GUIDELINES

The following sections of this document will guide you into how you can use this document
as a template. The objective is to make the article look “camera ready” so that we do not need
to make any modifications.
 The page size for the document should be set to A4 Paper (210 x 297 mm).
 The margins should be set at one inch (2.54 cm) all around.
 The document must be single-spaced.
 Do not use headers or footers.
 The font used should be Times New Roman, 12 points (with the size
exceptions mentioned below for quotes, tables, and references).
 The document must use full justification throughout (with the exception of the
heading that need to be centered).
 The title of the paper must be in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, bolded, centered,
and in 16-point font.
 Each paragraph should begin with a left tab or first line indent of one-half inch
(typically the default tab option).
 There should not be any extra blank lines between paragraphs unless there is a
section of text that needs to stand out from the other paragraphs.
 The Author’s names and affiliations should be in 11-point font, bolded, and
centered. Please do not use honorifics for author names (i.e., Ph.D., Dr., etc.)
 Main Headings in the document should be in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS,
bolded in the default 12-point font. Subheadings should be in Initial Capital
Letters, bolded, and left justified. Pay attention not to orphan a heading from
the text that follows at the bottom of a page.
 If the paper contains hypotheses, lists, formulae, tables, figures, footnotes, etc.,
please read those sections below for more information.
 References should be in 11-point font, single-spaced between references, with
hanging indents (see the section below for more instructions).

The important thing is to make your document look consistent with this document before it is
submitted for publication. We can accept only Word document files.

We request that you to adhere to these guidelines while preparing your


submissions. Sample format is given below

ABSTRACT: A single paragraph of about 250 words maximum. For research articles,
abstracts should give a pertinent overview of the work. The abstract should be an objective
representation of the article and it must not contain results that are not presented and
substantiated in the main text and should not exaggerate the main conclusions.

INTRODUCTION:
The introduction should provide a brief overview of the background and context of
the research, including the research question or problem, the significance of the study, and the
objectives or hypotheses.
Abbreviations and Acronyms
Define abbreviations and acronyms the first time they are used in the text, even after they
have been defined in the abstract. Do not use abbreviations in the title unless they are
unavoidable.

LITERATURE REVIEW:
The literature review should critically analyse the relevant literature to establish the
context and theoretical framework of the study, including previous research on the topic,
theories or models, and gaps or limitations in the literature.

METHODS:
The methods section should describe the research methods used to address the
research question, including the study design, data collection methods, sample size, and data
analysis techniques.

RESULTS:
The results section should present the key findings of the study, usually in the form of
tables, figures, or charts, accompanied by a brief description and interpretation of the results.

Position figures and tables at the top and bottom of text. Avoid placing them in the middle of
text. Leave sufficient room between the figures/tables and the main text. Figure captions
should be centered below the figures; table captions should be centered above. Avoid placing
figures and tables before their first mention in the text. Use the abbreviation “Fig. 1,” even at
the beginning of a sentence. Number figures consecutively in accordance with their
appearance in the text. Place figures caption and description below the figure body.
Figure labels should be legible. Images should preferably with Resolution: 300 dpi. You may
resize the figures or schemes to fit the page size. All figures will be black and white graphs in
print publication.

DISCUSSION:
The discussion section should provide an analysis and interpretation of the results,
including the implications of the findings for the research question, the broader field of study,
and future research directions.

CONCLUSION:
The conclusion should be written in very clear words. It should explain how the objectives of
the study are accomplished.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT (Optional)
The author may present a list of acknowledgments at the end. Any financial or nonfinancial
support for the study should be acknowledged.

REFERENCES
SIJSS allows a maximum of 15 references from well-known journals. All the
references to the end list should be cited in the body's main text APA Style. Simple references
without accompanying comments should be inserted in the text in parenthesis, with the name
of the author and year of publication e.g., (Chalam, 2020).
All references should be alphabetically arranged at the end of the text. Style should follow:
author’s name, forename/initials, date of publication in parentheses, title of publication (bold
in case of a book, and in italics in case of an article, and the source, journal or book bold),
place of publication, publisher, page numbers, and any other additional information. Journal
articles should contain complete information regarding volume number, issue number, date,
etc.
APA Style: Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Date of publication). Title of article. Title of
Journal, volume number, page range. https://doi.org/10.0000/0000
